System Meltdown

Unfortunately, things are not working as I would like them to.

Over the last few weeks our Pro features activation system has been acting up badly - to the point that almost nobody can activate their Pro features using our activation wizard.

Many of you have contacted me via Discord or Private messages, and I have provided everyone with a offline activation key. That solved a lot of activations, but it does make a lot of extra work for me to generate these keys as it's a manual process with keys custom-made for each Patron separately. (I never thought I would be making so many of them, that's why it's not an automated system.)

I realize now that I should have posted an announcement earlier, but I simply thought I can just jump in and fix it real fast. Turns out that it's not a fast fix...

I am working on a new system...

Rest assured - since our system started malfunctioning, I have started working on a brand new, modern system that will give you guys the experience you deserve. To achieve this, I decided to move the whole infrastructure to Microsoft's Azure cloud.

The first step was to make a new Admin app for our internal use. Something we can use to manually add or adjust Pro licenses. Here's a sneak-peek at this admin software:

Our activation wizard also needed to be re-done from scratch. It will have much more modern look, but I also hope to fix all bugs that were found in the old wizard. In essence, it will still function very similarly like the old one - at least from the users perspective. It will just be much more robust.

Bad timing

Unfortunately, all this happened right in the middle of my yearly vacation. In a way - that's OK, since I had time to rebuild a large portion of the system. The bad side is, that I am going away tomorrow and will be away until Friday, 18th. This unfortunately means that I will be without a PC, and support will be limited in this period. Nevertheless, do contact me if you cannot activate Mods Studio, and I will do my best to handle your cases from my mobile phone.

So, when can you expect this to be fixed?

I will continue working on the new system right away when I come home from my trip. I expect it to be up and running no later than the week after my trip. So, it should be done before Friday, July 25th.
