Comfy Clothes and Selfcare! New Paramaker Content đ
Hello everyone! LĂ©a here today to bring you our last Paramaker update. This week weâre focusing on taking care of our Parafolks: putting them in comfy clothes, checking out new skin details, new haircuts (featuring a protective hairstyle), and ⊠giving them a manicure? đ«Ł
POV: Youâre 17 years old, new in town, and you invite your new highschool friends to come chill at your place. Your friend convinces everyone to let them do their nails and skincare. Having pretty nails boosts your confidence and you love it!
Letâs Get a Closer Look at Their Faces
A protective hairstyle made by Sonia, I love that half-ponytail look! This Parafolk is also currently wearing our new beauty face mask (which is recolorable).
We love good old fluffy hair. These loose curls were made by Sonia, she also added those beauty marks and acne scars.
More acne scars on the cheeks and a brand new hairstyle by yours truly. We wanted hair that defies gravity for a stylish vibe.
Same hairstyle but without gel for a chill look, straight out of the bed. You can also see acne scars in the neck and back.
New Comfy Clothes
Really comfortable joggers created by Sonia; and they are compatible with patterns!
New bermuda shorts were created by Sonia! These are also available with patterns.
New leggings, available in 3 lengths, all layerable with bottoms and tops, AND they also work with patterns.
Parafolksâ Nails
You already knew that colored nails would be available in the game, but I recently added actual long nails of different shapes and sizes. Keep in mind, we still have a lot to do before the launch of the game so we probably wonât have the time to add any nail art designs, but they will come in the future, for sure.
Round nails with 3 different lengths for a soft effect.
Square nails with 3 different lengths for a more sophisticated look.
And finally our rockstar, the very long and sharp nails. Those are for the sexy and dangerous Paras out there; maybe they secretly want to be a tiger, who knows? Anyway, theyâre there, so be careful with them: theyâre very pointy!

im sure youve already thought of this, but you might wanna disable the facemask being recolored to a charcoal facemask color

I was wondering if you will be able to pull messy "surfer" hair with the artstyle of Paralives - seems they are here now :D Yay ! And the Paras with long and sharp nails are obviously werewolves in disguise ;)
Those acne scars are far too realistic. I feel uncomfortably seen.

The beauty face mask has some "effect" on the Para's mood? It can maybe give points for "hygiene" or "looks" or "comfort"?
I wish they do good on their word, like paraa with pointy nails could accidentally hurt someone or scratch something sometimes, n apologize profusely n get upset, or decide to be more careful! đ
I love the inclusivity and seeing the progress on this amazing game! Also, I noticed the poster is in English. So will the spoken language be gibberish and the written language be real?
I believe they addressed this a few months back and iirc I think you're correct. The written language will be English but the spoken language will be one they've created themselves! There should be samples of the spoken language here on patreonđ

Please, take your time. I want to play the game as much as anyone else, but we do not want to get in the habit of rushing things out and cutting quality. We see many examples of where that never ends anywhere good. Anyway, I love the nails and the face masks. And the comfy clothes remind me of stuff I wear!
Meet if Iâm correct theses are teens yes? And if so this is our first time seeing them right? Also was âyu are 17â just a what if or dose that mean there is age categories like 17 yers old 25 years old etc.? Or just age stages just curious/reading into something theyâre probably isnât there.
I love all the content, but you guys need to get this game out already. I think players will gladly exchange nails and hair for a beta test.
As much as I wanna play Paralives, I've got to disagree with you. We get plenty of rushed games every time and it's so refreshing to see that a team finally takes time and passion into their work.. And I think most of us will gladly wait 'til time has come <3

This update is awesome! I never knew how much seeing small details like acne scars would be a game changer! Is the mask an item that you have to put on in the paramaker (like makeup) or related to an action? And is there a natural nail lenght? Either way, I am always so happy when I see a new update! I have such trouble making myself in character creators so seeing a Para who looks and dresses just like me made me tear up a little
The hair and nails, I'm absolutely blown away!!! Everything looks amazing and the variety is spectacular. Daydreaming about playing with PAM continues lol!
Loving the new stuff but I'd love to see so high waisted pants. I'm the #1 hater of low rise pants so some variations on that would be awesome

I was just wondering if the 'item' allows specific group interaction and or activities? With regards to the half ponytail. If it is recolourable, does that mean we can also change the hair type? The nails, I was wondering what level of clipping can we expect?
1 - Which item are you referring to? 2 - You will be able to select a different hairstyle but not change the hair type of a given hairstyle 3 - There might be some clipping when a character has long nail and hold items in their hands

This is pretty sweet, I love the new hair styles. On a different topic, I'm actually surprised that nails can't be textured the way clothes are, with patterns. But admittedly in That Other Gameâą I never paint any nails, so I have no skin in this game, literally XD Speaking of skin, I love the new skin details, too. That said, I'm mostly looking forward to the gameplay aspect of self-care. What does the mask do, does it provide some sort of benefit ? How does it translate into how a Para feels ? As you maybe remember I'm very much into self-care as a mechanic (I suggested a "self-love" relationship/bar/progress for instance), and I'd love to know more about this.
We're eager to explore gameplay mechanics related to self care in the future but for now it's only visual elements
Wow, I love the skin details soooo much! And all the different nails. Okay, I love it all! lol I have never been so excited for a game, and it's such a joy to be a part of the process. Thanks for everything you all are doing, it's phenomenal.
I personally love the fact that not all the teens look the same. Some look a bit older while some look more baby-faced, yet they all actually look like...teens!!! I am sooooo excited for this game!!

Wonderful additions for our Paras! The skin, hairstyles, nails, and comfy clothes are perfect additions to enhance personalized stylings for the Paras we create. Yay!! I also like the animation looks, too!!

Where to begin?? This is AMAZING! From the details in looks to the various sitting positions to the inclusion of FACIAL MASKS - it is all just wonderful! And I love the nails!! They actually lay properly on the fingers, which is wonderful. Having the leggings in three lengths is such a delight for me. The work the Paralives team puts into every area of the game never ceases to impress!!!

Are you planning to link the mask to a gameplay feature or is it going to be a paramaker asset only?
Paramaker asset only for now but it's possible that it would be linked to a gameplay features in the future
Love the new hairstyles and the skin details! The clay mask's cool too. But do only the male paras have body hair? Is this gonna be another game that pretends women and girls don't have it? đŹ
Thank you! Body hair and any other element of the Paramaker (clothing, accessories, etc) can be put on any Parafolk regardless of the gender

Everything looks great! Just one thing that seems a bit off, the t-shirt on the red-haired para is supposed to be loose I think, but there's a clear waistline visible as if it was skin-tight.

I love the realism that skin imperfections adds to the game! I only wish you had shown what the acne marks look like on all skin tones. It seems to have a reddish undertone which may not show up on the darker ones? Typically those spots show up as hyperpigmentation/dark brown on darker skin.

I really appreciate how the team have gone out of their way to consider blemishes and imperfections on the parafolk's skin. It really helps to make it feel grounded for someone like me who is prone to getting spots, myself!
