New Team Members + Maggie's Halloween Costume
Hey there!
We’re at the end of October so it’s time for Paralives to get a bit spooky. We’ve created an Halloween costume for Maggie that you can see in motion in the above video. Beware, crows and ravens!
Maggie is ready for the neighborhood's Halloween party! Do you think she would make a good impression? We wanted to show you this costume first and we will share it publicly a bit later today.
Team Update
I’m very excited to introduce you to 2 new team members, Chloé and Sandrine. We’ve been hard at work searching for the best candidates over the last couple of months and we’re so happy to welcome them to the team!
Chloé is an environment artist so she will be joining Léa and Sonia in the Paralives’ art team. Chloé will be focusing on improving the art style of the houses, the furniture and everything related to the environment that the Parafolks live in. Then, she will be creating a lot of new objects, furniture and items for Paralives.
Next, Sandrine is our new communications director and she will be replacing Christine who left the team in July. Sandrine will be taking care of planning posts and content to share with everyone on social media, replying to messages and comments from the community as well as gathering everyone’s ideas for the game. You will surely meet her in the community section of our Patreon page, on Discord and elsewhere!
Finally, I can’t say it enough but thank you so much for making the expansion of the team possible! We’re now 10 developers, which is all because of your support. We’re very excited for what’s to come, namely showcasing the progress we made on the Paramaker and starting to work on the core features of the live mode!
Cheers,
Alex
EDIT: This post is now public so feel free to share it!

I'm seriously so excited for this game. So will we be able to celebrate/decorate for all of the holidays?
the animations is so fluid!
Love the new art style - such an improvement!
💕💕
I love the texture detailing and colour tones on the clothing; I'm not as enthralled with Para-Maggie's features, but it may just be because of her costume makeup.
Awwww! ❤️
I have a question I’m looking forward for the game you are making can’t wait for it to come out just wanted to now about the progress of it or hints
I love the art style ❤️
The art style is so much better now <3
I can't wait to meet her in town.
Loving the way Maggie is looking! I can definitely see myself making characters that look like that to play. I do agree that the art style has become a little cartoony but it’s still nice! Welcome Cholé and Sandrine! I’m excited to see what changes happen to the environment and I know it’s going to be much easier to completely focus on production now that Sandrine is here 💗
Welcome Chloé and Sandrine! Excited to see more of you 😁 The animation looks great! I do wish the features and details in the current att style was a bit softer, but that’s very subjective of course. Keep up the good work guys, it all keeps looking better and better with every update ☺️
I love the art style of this game so much!! Also, does this mean there are now 10 members?
Ja, 10 medlemmar, allt står i beskrivningen 🥰
wow! such great animation improvement! I hope the art style changes a bit, I liked how she looked in the Holiday Outfits Video from a year ago. How soft the “cartoon” details were, and how she looked more 3D while still having small “cartoon-ish” details. She seemed a lot more real in that video compared to now. In this video, and looking at the newest markup of Sebastian, they seem a lot more flatter with a harsher outline and more cartoony art style. I hope you go back to the Art Style Maggie had in the Holiday Outfits video, it was the best.
Welcome Chloe and Sandrine! Maggie looks amazing in the new video!
So thrilled at the expansion of the team! Yall have come a long way and I’m super happy to see the development of this game !! 😍🥰
Welcome to the team!!!!!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
OH MY LORD!!!! The animation seems so smooth and lively 😍 I love it. Good job guys 👏👏👏👏👏 Can't wait to play this game in the future
I love the animations.
Perfect!! Great work !
Welcome new members and I look forward to your work. Also Maggie is once again looking fabulous but the real question is what big daddy sebastian wearing? ;)
La Bienvenue à vous Chloé & Sandrine 🤗 Maggie est sexy dans son costume. I looking forward to see news teasers Thank you to all the Team, keep 💪🏾💪🏾
Wow! 2 new members?! That's crazy, but in a good way! Welcome guys, can't wait to see your work and ideas for the game! I agree with everyone else too, Maggie looks so cute and seeing her in costume makes me so excited to see what costumes we can all come up with for the paras! I'm very excited to hear the clothing and hair physics is confirmed as well as the confirmation of the facepaint. Something else I noticed in the video and I'm also really excited about is that Maggie's nails are painted! Soon we shall have custom nails for both our beauties and our beasts!
Maggie looks better every time we see her and the animations continue to be so weighty and believable! The amount of detailing in her clothing and hat meshes is sending me. 😍 I'm hoping hair/clothes physics makes a return at some point though. And I'm so happy about the new members, 10 seems to be a great number because it's both manageable and productive. It really can be a small team of wonder workers!
Maggie's costume is adorable, and her animations as well. Something about her animations and expressions here really makes her seem alive, and I'm loving it. And welcome to Chloé and Sandrine!
Maggie's looks and animation look beautifully stunning!! 😍😍😍 Also, welcome Chloé and Sandrine!! 🤩🤩🤩
Maggie looks perfect! And welcome to the team Cholé and sandrine!!
Welcome Chloe and Sandrine!!! 🎉🎉 also Maggie looks so good, her animations are so smooth and natural!
Welcome Chloé and Sandrine! And Maggie is looking amazing! Keep up the work guys! 😁
10 people wow!! Paralives is becoming a crowded project^^ Love the update on Maggie!
Welcome to the family Chloé and Sandrine!!
Love the costume guys and girls awesome. Welcome Chloé and Sandrine to the paralives family! Can't wait to see what you girls can do.
Welcome Chloé and Sandrine! Maggie looks great. Does her Halloween makeup mean there'll also be masks, painted on or otherwise, or was this a one-off just to showcase her new look and the smooth animations?
We will be creating painted on masks like this one, yes!
Welcome Sandrine and Chloé ! 🥳
Welcome Chloé and Sandrine! Maggie looks really great. Loving the artstyle.
It's been so amazing to watch your team grow over the past couple years! Welcome Chloé and Sandrine. :) Can't wait to see how you approve upon the game!
Welcome Chloé and Sandrine ! 🎉🎉🎉
Wow I love this, she looks amazing! And her animations are so natural!!
Welcome, Chloé and Sandrine! Maggie and her animation look really good! I’ll admit I still prefer the realistic yet cartoony para art style from the holiday outfits video, but I’m still super excited either way!
I agree! I loved the older style so much!
welcome to the team!!!!
I’m so in love with the improved art style of the paras and the costume looks nice too. Welcome to the team Sandrine and Cloé❤️
Hi, the costume looks amazing, and congratulations on the new team members!
The animations are so smooth and the facial expressions and costume are so adorable! Im so excited
Can I just say, Maggie in dark lipstick owns my heart ❤️
OMG I'm so in love with this artstyle. The outline is a bit of a divisive issue for a lot of people I think, but it helps so much to not have a clay figure of a character, but to have a sense of body and weight and its physics.
Welcome, Chloé and Sandrine!! Maggie looks great, and her costume is so cute and fun, I love it!! The perfect amount of spookiness. :)
Welcome, Chloé and Sandrine!
A warm welcome to Chloé and Sandrine ! The team has grown so much :) I can't wait to see what Chloé will come up with (I'd be really interested in learning about her style and/or preferences, for instance), and I bet I'm going to see Sandrine around a lot so I'm just wishing her good luck ^_^;
Maggie looks so good 😍
Maggie’s animation looks great! Love her little laugh 😁
Welcome to the new team members!
I love it 🥺🤗💖
Chloé and Sandrine! Congratulations and thank you for the hard work. Can't wait to see what great work you both do with this wonderful team. Happy Halloween! Maggie looks great and her animation is flawless.
Ahhh, Maggie looks great! And welcome, Chloe and Sandrine!
Ahhh, Maggie ...so good to see her again and that she still maintains her look from the prior Christmas reveal video!! I love her look and can't wait to start her Paralife!! ❤ Her Halloween costume is perfect! I'm totally stoked about the team growing to "10" members!! Welcome Chloe' and Sandrine... as the team grows so does game development!! Yay!! 🎉
Fluid movement 😁
Welcome Chloé and Sandrine! 🥳 Happy Halloween! 👻
Welcome Chloé and Sandrine!! That's exciting! I was pretty hesitant about the new art style for the parafolks but now, in motion, I have a better impression. Just a question, clothes/hair physics is still a thing like in the first Maggie reveal? Thanks for your hard work! I love the costume! xx
Thank you, Virginie! Happy to join you all! To answer your question, yes, we'll have clothes and hair physics in the game. :)
😍🥰🥳
Welcome to the mf team, y'all!
Hello and Welcome everyone! Now this improved Maggie I can get behind because she looks like she retains her former look but also with a few of the new edits. Idk if it’s because of the makeup but she doesn’t look as harsh as Sebastian. Her lines are much softer - she looks good!
That costume is amazing
🥳🍻
WELCOME 🙏🏼 I’m so happy that the team continues to grow 😭🖤
Welcome and wow!
Welcome Chloé and Sandrine! The costume is amazing I absolutely love the details of it! I'll admit I have always been unimpressed with costumes in the Sims games, often too boring. This art style looks great on Maggie and I think it's perfect for the game!
Welcome Chloé and Sandrine, so excited to see your wonderful work. Great Halloween costume, sunflowers are beautiful. Sadly not sold on the new paras eyes atm, I miss the two tone depth.
Welcome Chloé and Sandrine, and congrats team on 10 developers! Super excited to see what's next!
Judging from the Sep 17 post and then the reavel of the new Sebastian, it seems the body lines have been soften. Or is it just because of the makeup and light?
Thank you for the warm welcome. You have a keen eye, John! Sonia and Léa indeed tweaked the shade of the body lines for Maggie to be a bit softer. We think it works better with her current look.
Welcome to the team all! Love Maggies costume and where the art style as a whole is headed. Great work as always!
Maggie looks beautiful 🥰 and welcome Chloé and Sandrine!!! 💜
Firstly, welcome, Chloe and Sandrine! Secondly, I’m loving Maggie’s look!
Omg 🥺!!!!!!!
Welcome Chloé and Sandrine! Excited to see your work. And Maggie looks amazing and lively! Really loved this design <3
Welcome Sandrine and Chloe!! Adorable costume ❤🎉
Looking forward to meeting you both, Sandrine and Chloe
Maggie looks sick!!! Hello, Chloé and Sandrine! 🎊
