Hello there!
As you know, Roxane, Léa and I have been working on the reveal of the Parafolks. Today, we'd like to introduce you to one of our Para. She has an incredibly big passion for astronomy and loves music, reading and roller skating. When she graduated a few years ago, she moved in with her cat in this loft that she decorated herself. She had this huge custom bookcase made to put all of her astronomy books in!
So until we can show her up close, we'd like you to help us name her. Take a look at the poll below! As always, please keep this information and this picture a secret until we reveal the screenshot along with her name sometime next week :)

I think it would be cool to have non-north american names too! The Vietnamese and Haitian communities have had big cultural impacts in the lives of Montrealers. I suggest a Vietnamese and a Haitian name :)

I love how there are little imperfections in the loft (the crooked couch, the way the stools aren't perfectly aligned, the wood of the table, etc) and also the hanging plantssssss are so cute!! I'm so happy with this, I keep coming back to the picture and zooming in to absorb every little detail
Maggie has a space shuttle neon light by the kitchen bar. If it was a Sasha she would have a neon soyuz rocket.

Sasha makes me think of a range of possible characters. In the activities mentioned that she takes part in Sasha seems sophisticated beyond her years. Yet roller skating gives her a "fit" vibe that is also fun. Sasha= Athletic, very intelligent, AND mysterious!
Every time I look at this picture I find a new little detail and the ammount of care you put into decorating it's just breathtaking! The little reading corner by the bookcase, the coat hanging in the kitchen, the tiny soap bottle by the sink, the bycicle under the stairs! I love it all! Super excited to meet our first Para!
This is incredibly stunning! I see her shadow, and there was a mention of a cat, I'm zooming in on the picture trying to find it! 😅 I like the name Sasha the best!

OK Alex.....you are a dang sneaky guy!! and OMG, I adore it! "Name the Para BUT let us show you her home first!" LOL I'm astounded and blowen away! The details are knockouts, the decor is delightfull, and "her" shadow is winsome! What a beautiful stage you and the team have set up for us to study. Thank you!! All week I have been comming back to your post and zooming in and out studying the items, lighting, all the little details placed around and I'm itching to see more! Which I'm sure was the intent...LOL..well I belive you all have succeded! I can't wait! The details and feeling of reality.....WOW. This is sooo missing in other simulation *cough* games. Sasha is my favorite but I always find it hard to pick a name without knowing the facial features of a creation. But Sasha could work for many backgrounds so I decided to go with that. But more importantly : wow. And I mean, WOW. We'll be able to build something like that in the game ? WOOOoooOOOW. Did I tell you how much I'm impressed ? There definitely has been improvements in lighting since the first previews we saw, but there's something else here, about the volumes and use of space. Honestly even without a face reveal (but we know she has short hair !), I'm impressed. Can't remember whether I mentioned that.

I have a friend named Estelle who used to hang out in the roller skate rink as a kid and now is pursuing work in Astronomy. This was pretty fun to read it took me back to when I had friends haha.

Also I was wondering if first person mode will be available in this game? I would love to be able to move my character around using WASD keyboard keys and interact with items like I would in an RPG. I think that would really up the experience!
I believe they've said it's not in the current plans but they haven't ruled it out

Hmm, tough choices. Okay, so here is the thing. Of all names, I prefer Sasha. But then I thought name should be befitting of the person's personality / character. So at first, I thought about Nancy because you mentioned books and I thought of Nancy Drew but then I realize that that would not work because those books are about astronomy. :-P So, I decided to consult this list of female astronomers here at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_women_astronomers In this list, there are Nancy, Maggie, and Michelle. No Sasha. Drat! ;-P But none of them with these given names are well known to me, I am sad to say. Having investigated further, though, I found that Nancy Roman was nicknamed the "Mother of Hubble" for "her role in planning the Hubble Space Telescope". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nancy_Roman So, Nancy it is! In the memory of this extraordinary woman Nancy Roman.

So what I'm getting is... Configurable stairs, pillows you can place (I believe those are pillows on the stairs) and bicycles in base game. Also look at the shadow from the parafolk. Amazing. I am really loving this low-poly style. I thought it wouldn't be detailed but look at the detail! So excited for this game. Alex, take my money!
