Hi, Alex here for an extremely exciting post! We’re finally ready to announce a release date for Paralives’ Early Access, which will be December 8, 2025**, and we made a brand new trailer for the occasion! We also have many details to share regarding the game’s release, so please read on!

🎥 A Brand New Paralives Trailer
We’re happy to reveal a new trailer for Paralives! You can watch it at the top of the post or on Youtube. We made this trailer to announce the release date of the game and to showcase parts of the Paralives town and its citizens. We got the opportunity to present it at the PC Gaming Show, which happened today! We are so excited to have been part of this event and we hope that more people will now look forward to Paralives.

Paralives will come out on Steam in Early Access on December 8, 2025! 🎈🥳🎉🎊
As it will be Early Access, players will probably find that the game needs more content. Our goal with Early Access is to provide a first enjoyable experience that has room to grow, so that we can collect feedback from players and improve the game. We’re looking forward to jumping into this next exciting phase of Paralives’ development!
🎨 New Key Art and New Logo
To celebrate the release date announcement, we have a brand new key art to use on our Steam page. A huge thank you to Mario Miravalles who did this amazing illustration!
Also, we’ve changed our logo! We’re a bit sad to say goodbye to our old one but we really felt like updating it so that it better represents the mood of the game. The new hand-written aspect shows that the game is all about creativity and also, it gives a more personal vibe, just like the stories you will be able to tailor for your Parafolks.
💵 Pricing
Paralives will cost $39.99 USD when it comes out in Early Access this December. During the Early Access period, the price will gradually increase as we add more content, up until Paralives' full release in its 1.0 version. Our goal here is to thank early players with a smaller price tag as core gameplay features are still being improved, bugs are being fixed, and content is being added.
As a reminder, during Early Access and after, the game will only ever get free updates and expansions and will never have any paid DLCs. This decision stems from the fact that, as life simulation fans ourselves, we believe that players deserve a complete experience when purchasing a game. Since we are a small independent team, the sales from the base game will be enough to sustain the development of exciting new features and content for Paralives.
📝 Features and Content: What to Expect At Launch
For those who are curious about what to expect from Paralives at launch in terms of features, here’s an overview. Please note that upcoming features are not listed in priority order. Also, after the game has completed its Early Access development phase, we plan to add even more features and content!
As you can see, the game already has a considerable number of features! We’re eager to improve these and add even more during Early Access to make this life simulation game as complete and as good as possible following the feedback that we will receive from you, the players.

📊 What Will Happen to our Patreon After The Early Access Release?
It’s been an incredible opportunity to get the support from everyone on Patreon. It allowed us to connect with the community, get important feedback as we shared updates on the development, all while ensuring we have the financial means to achieve our vision for Paralives.
As we get close to the moment where everyone will finally be able to play Paralives, we would like to announce that when the game releases in Early Access, we will stop accepting new and existing monetary pledges and will also sunset the various pledge rewards after they have been delivered to everyone. It’s been an incredible journey to develop the game alongside you all through Patreon, and we can’t thank you enough for that. After the release, we feel that our Patreon will have completed its purpose, which was to bring the game to life. We feel truly honored to have had this opportunity and we are moved by this chapter coming to an end. However, we will keep the Patreon platform open, but mainly to inform you about upcoming updates for the game and collect feedback and ideas on how to improve it.
For those who are wondering how to best support the ongoing development once the game releases, purchasing the game as well as sharing feedback on your gameplay experience here on Patreon, Discord, or other platforms will be the best way to do that!
➡️ A note about the pledge rewards
Anyone subscribing to our Patreon before the moment when we close the rewards on December 8, 2025 (release day) will still be able to get most rewards. However, the rewards that unlock after 1 or 3 months of pledge will become unavailable to new Patrons after July 31, 2025. In other words, it’s still not too late to upgrade your pledge tiers to get these rewards if you have been thinking of doing so.
The Hero and Legend tiers have some rewards (underlined in red) that will no longer be claimable for people who start pledging after July 31, 2025.
I hope you are as excited as we are for what’s to come and we can’t wait for you to jump into Paralives on December 8th. We’re sincerely grateful for all your support over the years and for making Paralives possible!

I have a question, will you guys get the game to work on the steam deck? I would love to play this game on the go in addition to playing at home on my main PC.
I think that after the game launches, once early access is over—like in version 1.0—even though I know you’ve said DLCs and updates will be free (which I love and find super exciting), maybe you could consider adding a little store to buy cosmetic stuff. Like items for Create-a-Parafolk or Build Mode, just to help support you and future improvements to the game. Something like a “ParaStore”… or something like that. Anyway, it’s just an idea you could think about way down the line. Thanks so much for everything! 🌟 . What is required to get early access? Do we pay for the game then or after the official launch?
You pay for the game when you buy it. So if you buy it on day 1 of early access in December, you pay that day. But you won't have to pay again once it releases fully :) You will be able to buy it on Steam.

I am wondering something I meant to ask long ago, I was wondering when we start a new game, does it go to the world or to PAM? And if it does go to the world or either, will we be able to play premades and place multiple households in the same save? I asked because in InZOI not only do we start in their create a character thing, like The Sims 4, but unlike TS4, once in the world there doesn't seem to be a way of playing premade ZOIs or adding other households either. So I just wanted to make sure Paralives isn't like that, I kinda figure it isn't, since its made by people who are more familiar with the way simmers tend to play, with lots of different households in one save and of course liking to play with premades as well.
You can actually switch families in InZoi as long as they live in a home. You can either do it from the Map view (they have a manage families) or if you meet a housed zoi on the street, clicking on them will give you the option to switch to them. However, making more than one family in the same save is kind of pain. it can be done tho. Hopefully Paralives makes it more intuitive and easier if you like to manage multiple families in the same save.

I do have a question - once the early access phase ends, does the progression and development a player makes during that phase get reset, for example, if I make a para and all that, will that disappear once the full 1.0 launch comes out or does that progression carry over? This is exciting. It is really beautiful. I hope this works but the game also has to pay all of you and you have to be able to make money with this game. I’m assuming that there is a plan because the statement of no DLC costs, to me, seems unsustainable. EA has obviously done it wrong with the sims by not fixing base game bugs and forcing people to pay for basic game features not included in the base game. But money is required for this game to grow. Cheering for you.
Games like No Man's Sky has been releasing free updates for years and they're doing fine. It's entirely possible.

First of all congratulations, I'm so excited for EA! Are there any plans for a weight and muscle gain / loss system? Gyms? I think those are an important part of a life sim.
Personally, I've never cared for that part of Sims. They just are so boring, running on a treadmill for 6 Sims hours is not my idea of entertaining, when gaming.

I have a question about "Create and edit multiple outfits for your characters" - does that mean multiple options within an outfit category like "everyday," or does that mean categories like "pajamas" and "workout" will not be available during early access? I've been here since about 2022 maybe earlier and I remember when the simmer community was growing crazy and hyping up independent life simulation games.
