New Hairstyles Showcase with a Little Story! 📖

We might have talked about it before, but the most time consuming things to create in the Paramaker are hairstyles. Creating a new hairstyle is challenging for several reasons, including having a good rhythm, a recognizable texture while still being stylized, respecting the overall shape, and making sure it’s optimized. Since we want you to be able to create a lot of different characters, having a decent amount of hairstyles is essential. This is why, this week, I created a little story to highlight them, illustrating how they can be used in game to make our Parafolks unique while also helping in storytelling! 🚨 The Parafolks I’ve created are not official townies, I just wanted to mess around with some story telling. So let’s go!
Rose and Antoine’s Story
This is a little love story, about a couple that fell in love at first sight and grew old together. Their names are Rose Joly and Antoine Dubois. They met at 16 years old, on a Sunday morning, the day Rose’s family moved into town, in the little blue house right next to Antoine’s.
Rose and Antoine got married and moved into their own house. They had a beautiful little girl named Lily and they enjoyed spending their Sunday mornings making breakfast, dancing and playing board games together.
20 years later, they are still very much in love and enjoy spending time in their garden. Their daughter comes to visit every Sunday for breakfast with her own children.

A Story of a Receding Hairline
Some men are able to keep a full head of hair their whole life while others don’t, and we wanted them to be represented in Paralives.

When Antoine was still a teenager, he had all his hair! Here is the hairstyle slicked in the back that I created for fancy occasions. Sometimes you need to make a good impression, and combing your hair is always a good start.

New Hats Options
Sonia gifted us with two brand new hat options for the Paramaker!
Your Para is going out of the shower or on an outing at the spa? You’re gonna need a wrapped towel for their hair!
We already had a baseball cap, but we needed another classic piece to protect our Parafolks from the sun: the bucket hat!

Love the short bowl! Makes me wonder if you're also planning on adding more "trendy" haircuts like wolfcuts and my personal favorite, the modern bowl cut (like kpop hair lol)? So far it seems to be more classic!

I'm loving the very short bob, it can have so many uses at different lifestages. Hm actually can someone remind me whether hairstyles are age-specific in Paralives ? I forgot. Will Paras sometimes wish for a look change (random, after a milestone, or after an emotional event) ? I also really like the towel. It's simple and yet absolutely necessary ! "A Story of a Receding Hairline" I love the styles but this sounds so sad T_T Now do women haircuts with a receding hairline ! XD
they can have random wants like buying a new jacket for example. I love your idea of it popping for specific moments! Like maybe your Para suddenly your Para wants to cut his hair super short after having them long for their whole life
The progression looks so natural! Love the little story. Definitely not thinking back to the Sims 3 Generations trailer and totally not picturing these two in a reimagined version following their lives.

Wow, will there be more in the future? Cause these hair styles are good enough to show the hairdressers, they never seem to get my descriptions of the haircut that I wanted🫣
Yes we will be adding more hairstyles in the months to come! (and even after that!)
I love the mens hairstyles, they're classic and well shaped. No weird bits throwing off balance.

I think I may count as one of the rare few who can appreciate a man with a receding hairline/bald spot. It just makes them look handsome imo & it warms my heart to see this in Paralives 😂 Adorable story! 💕
When my parents got married, my dad was 23 and already starting to bald. My mom said that was fine, he could look like Captain Picard! 😂
