Room Service - Beta 0.1 | First Look!

Hey everyone!

Time to share some updates about the next update for Room Service! Got a lot to talk about so I'll try to keep it short.

== Beta 0.1 ==

This next update will set off the core gameplay for Room Service with the player & Jen being able to visit a new location outside of the hotel! To begin their weekend trip, Jen wants to go shopping for some new outfits. She's going to need some opinions on how they look, so you'll have to help provide feedback for her try-on session.

I trust that you'll be able to stay composed when you see what she's wearing, right? If not, that would certainly cause a dilemma, wouldn't it?

== A & B Routes ==

Something I want to do with Room Service is explore different story routes. Since it's a visual novel, having choices and consequences that affect the direction of events feels important!

My goal is that the game will largely be split into two routes: Passion & Lust. For this first scenario, you can choose which store to visit when you go shopping with Jen. Where she shops at will determine the type of outfit she decides to wear and can begin to influence how innocent or naughty she may be feeling.

Over time, I'd like to have these choices culminate into visiting entirely separate scenarios with unique NSFW scenes.

I do want to keep Room Service as a shorter/smaller project (but we all know how well that went with House Chores...) so for now, I really want to try sticking largely to Route A & Route B scenarios. But maybe there's room to add more unique routes in the future. One idea I thought might be fun is a 'shut-in' route where you choose to always stay at the hotel and watch new, unique scenes play out there instead.

== Release Timing ==

Currently, I'm looking at a release either in May or June.

There's still quite a bit that needs to be completed, including art so the wait still may be a little longer than I would like for new RS updates.

I will keep you all updated as things continue to progress!

== $3+ Patron Tier ==

In case you forgot, I do plan to introduce a new $3 Patron tier soon. This tier, to better match my other game projects will feature teasers of upcoming NSFW scenes & events. With the upcoming Beta 0.1 update finally introducing naughty content, I'll be sharing teasers of that soon!

Once the new tier is live, I will let you all know. At this rate, it probably will be early next month!

== Alpha Feedback & Further Testing ==

I wanted to thank you all so much for giving the Alpha update a try! I know it is incredibly brief but still, I heard many players say they were looking forward to more which is great to here!

It sounds like the new animations are a welcomed addition, so I plan to keep that feature going as Saira will be getting animations too. At a later time, I'd like to add an option to disable these animations in case some players don't like the slightly delayed loading or if the motions feel distracting.

With the game exiting Alpha and entering the Beta stages, there are still a few things I may be tinkering with or testing so expect some possible small, or even large changes still to come.
