• This is a game changer update of my first version of this mod i created a while ago that took us thousands of hours of hard work and it's finally here 💌

🏷️ Please, consider reading all information below. It will help you quick choose your newborn override (since we can have only one option) and warn you about some issues you might have! Shall we? 😌
🏷️ The last time i was so proud of myself for changing the size of the texture and improving it, this time we are going MUCH further:
• NEW HEAD MESH 👶🏻
• NEW ANIMATIONS 🛠️
• 3D EYELASHES 👁️
• INVISIBLE CRIB 🛏️
• ULTRA REALISTIC NEWBORN FACE TEXTURE 👶🏾
• IMPROVED OVERLAYS 🎭
• NEW HIGH QUALITY CLOTHING 🧶
✰ This is not one, but two+ steps ahead from previous version of this mod! ✰
• ❗️First thing first, you have to download invisible crib mod, so everything works + you get invisible crib!
• ❗️Also, you need animations file, so you got updated better animations for newborns.
• Because the mesh of the baby is a part of the crib, you need to have this file in your game, it changes the baby's head to new one and as a awesome extra option we made a invisible crib default replacement of the base game one 🛠️💕
🏷️ If you want your newborn in invisible crib, follow the steps:
• Before you sim is gives birth, find a base game crib and place it where you want. (to give you more control, there is a little white marker so you can grab it and place it whenever you want).
• After your sim gives birth, the newborn will appear at invisible crib and you can place them on any custom crib or any place.
❗️NOTE❗️: not every custom crib will work with this invisible crib mod, because of the footprint tag. You need to test everything by yourself, so your sim can interact with a newborn and make sure that custom crib that you using is not doing the function of working crib, so its just a decor.
• Now that you grab one of the main files, lets choose another one. We are talking about the newborn skin.
You have 2 options to choose from: maxis match overlay or custom skin color 🎭
‼️ WARNING ‼️ Because this is an override, you can have only one custom skin\eye color or only overlay in your game at a time!
🔍 If you interested in custom skin color newborn, keep reading this section.
• Q: Who might benefit from this option?
• A: For those who have been playing for one family for a long time and want to choose exactly how their newborn will look.
ㅤㅤㅤ• 📈 Pros: the texture quality and color will be as detailed and bright as possible, and it will not look dull. No seams, pixels, or anything else you could see on EA default skin.
ㅤㅤㅤ• 📉 Cons: the only and most significant minus is that now every baby that will be born in the family of your sims or in any other family in the world will look the same. Because this is a default replacement. This is not an overlay, but a separate custom color. If this does not bother you, and you want to change the files in your game from time to time for a certain family - that option is for you!
• We created 5 different shades + alien version (alien will be a default for all alien babies if you choose custom skin version of the file, thats how crib babies works)
• Also, we created a monolid option for the shade #1 💌
ㅤNext, when you choose your custom skin color, you can choose custom eye color
• We created 3 base eye color options: blue, dark brown and green 👁️
• P.s. Shade #1 with monolid is coming with extra dark brown eyes ✰
💞 Thats it! You pick a right file for you 💞
• Lets see some more details we did for this mod: a custom 360° hair and a little bow for a girl (coming as a default, depending of who your sim will give birth to) 💌

P.S. You don’t need Nifty Knitting or Growing Together for the bow or the extra blush overlay to work — they will still appear in your game.
But if you do have these packs, you’ll get default replacements for the newborns that come with them!
📝 Now we are smoothly moving to maxis match overlays!
Q: Who might benefit from this option?
A: Everyone who play maxis match \ maxis mix style of the game.
ㅤㅤㅤ• 📈 Pros: the baby will have skin and eye color from both parents. Each baby will be unique (maybe I went overboard with unique, but overall yes 🤣)
ㅤㅤㅤ• 📉 Cons: due to the lack of color in the overlays, babies may look pale.
❗️But this time overlays are improved! We found a way do add extra color to overlays, such as blush and lip color, so your newborns will look a little bit more....not so dull 😁

❗️NOTE❗️: As we know, the game is mixing skin colors from both of the parents and thats how your newborns appear. We had an issues with custom skin colors, they might look very strange, At this moment, we don't know how to fix that.

• Now it's time to dress up your baby! @plumberrycc created an amazing default replacements for Nifty Knitting and Growing Together newborn outfits, default replacements of the bassinets and an default better feeding bootle.

‼️ IMPORTANT NOTES TO KNOW ABOUT ‼️
• Before using this mod, you need to delete my old better babies mod, all files.
• Before using this mod, you need to delete any default cribs that you have in your game.
• Before using this mod, make sure you don't have any mods that somehow affect interactions with newborns or override cribs.
• We play test this mod with base game & no any other mods, so everything works smooth.

For some reason a newborn was in a family inventory in build mode. Then when I placed him to the room, he looked weird: half of head sharp line dark the other light colour. So I deleted this cc
I have question about files. Do I need tió delete any files before placing it in the mods folder? sims4 mod manager shows multiple same name files from baby v2. There are folders shade 1, 2, 3 etc and in each folder is another subfolders with blue, brown and green. Do I need to leave only one folder eg shade1?
Will there eventually be an update that will make it work with other mods and packs?
i really wish people would read before they just willy nilly download things lol..... would love to use this mod but i also love PandaSama's mod. I will still download and keep in my backups for when i decide to swap them. Thanks for letting us know! 🤍
I use this mod (the overlay version) alongside Pandasamas since it's been out, and I have never had any problems. If it's not working for you, try putting this mod in an Overrride folder
will the original override still work in-game? I've been playing the original override and wondering whether I have to update just yet or whether its fine the way it is.

i wish i could figure this mod out, the invisible crib isn’t working for me at all. both before the baby is born and after the crib is visible.

I installed this for the first time and the cribs are not invisible (I read through the post several times, added 4 files including the invisible crib mod). Is this not compatible with the new update? Thx!

Hi, i'm not sure what i am doing wrong but the invisible crib mod won't work for me after the last update on 12.05.2026. My sim had a baby and it shows the baby with the complett Crib before i updated it was invisible and i used a custom bassinet :(

Is the skin just not compatible with pandasama cb for the one specific animation or are they not compatible at all together? If it’s just the one specific animation I’m totally okay with downloading.
This is our own, fairly complex mod, and it took a lot of time and effort to create. It’s designed to work with the base game, as we’re not responsible for what other mods people use in their games. We created an entirely new head mesh, animations, skins, and cribs — these are two completely different mods. We also don’t use that mod ourselves, as creating this set for the base game alone took us around a year.

Hey. You could’ve checked out my tumblr where there’s actually a discussion about this in the comments. I totally get where you’re coming from, though. We’ve determined that the mod works for the most part, it’s just that the animation runs without the dedicated replacement we made for it, and that’s fine. It’s not really something we’re responsible for, as it’s a complex mod designed specifically for the base game. Sorry to hear that.

Sorry to hear that! Like I mentioned, these are two separate mods, and we can’t guarantee they’ll work together. But we’ve definitely done the best we can to make it as functional as possible. Hope that helps
Do you know why the baby might be black (like there's no texture) when I use only the maxis match overlay?
Something might be conflicting with our mod. Could you try checking your mods folder and running the game with just our mod enabled to see how it goes? Everything should work fine that way

Hello! That’s a bit strange 😊 The invisible crib should be in one of the three folders after you click the ‘download’ button and it's called INVISIBLE CRIB [REQUIRED].
Hi love!! Honestly the babies look absolutely perfect and I love the new animations! I've got everything working fine except my sim cannot interact with the babies.. I placed down the base game crib (which is invisible) and the babies were born into it. Even without any decor cribs added underneath so the babies are just floating my sims won't interact with the babies, i tried moving them etc. Not sure if I'm the only one having this issue!
Hey! Sorry to hear that. To be honest with you, I have no idea why. We playtest everything: every animation and action and everything works just fine. Please try running your game with zero mods except ours and see if the problem is still there. We’re positive there’s another mod causing a conflict — it’s the only possible explanation for this issue

[UPD: ISSUE FOUND, read the comments & post is updated] Thank you so much! 🩷 Oh, not this… it should be that. Please make sure you don’t have any other mods for newborns installed. You can also try running the game without any CC except our mod and see how it goes. If everything works after that, then something in your mods folder is causing the issue. If not, I can suggest trying to rename the file to something shorter — for some people that actually worked. If any of these tips help you get the mod running in your game, please let me know so I can update this post in case others have the same issue. Thank you! 🙏🏻
