Bonus video! Legalize gay rat weddings
It's hard to believe this was only about ten years ago... but as various states and finally the Supreme Court let same-sex couples get married, there was a big cluster of TV shows with episodes about queer folks getting married. There was Brooklyn 99, there was Modern Family, and one of the cutest was on the animated show Arthur ... which is also the episode that made the most people upset. So we're going to talk about that episode in today's bonus video, and also about why those people who were upset were absolute freaks.

I remember the controversy over the Postcards from Buster Baxter episode only because it sparked a debate on whether federal funding should continue to support PBS on their news show Newshour. Welp, looking where we are now...it's so sad. But hope endures. Love your videos by the way. The marriage one was excellent. Can't think of another video of same length that engaged me.

I remember both of these. (I also just found out the theme was performed by Ziggy Marley, don’t know how I missed that.) Arthur was an incredible show. I’m still working my way through the marriage video! Not a complaint. It’s too good to have on in the background, but it is a lot. Great work.
It's actually good for the YouTube algorithm to see people coming back to watch more of a video in segments, so keep it up!
My mom told me when I was a kid I asked my mom what a lesbian was and she told me it was when two girls like each other like when a girl and boy liked each other. I don't remember it at all so pretty sure kids who hear about the lgbta+ community are going to be fine. Adults care way more than the kids.
