Bonus Video! Howard Ashman's lost & forgotten projects
Hello there!
For this week's bonus video, we're taking a look at some of Howard Ashman's more obscure projects -- a fun ode to a cow; some songs rescued from Little Shops' cutting room floor; and an impossibly weird number written for Garfield, Alf, the Chipmunks, Tigger, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Here are full versions of the projects I mention in this video:

And I hope you'll join us for a Little Shop of Horrors watch-along on Twitch today at noon pacific!

MATT: Are you aware that there is a recording of TWO other songs cut from LITTLE SHOP, called "A Little Dental Music" - sung by Eydie Alyson, Reece Holland, Jani Neuman and David Romano - and "Bad" - sung by Gerry McIntyre, Bambi and Brandy Jones - on a CD named "Lost In Boston IV"? "Lost in Boston" is (or was) a series of 4 CDs that featured NOTHING BUT songs that had been cut from Broadway-bound shows while "trying out" out of town. An amazing array of songs from an incredible number of shows written by a Who's Who of veteran Broadway composers & lyricists. I just love this stuff... You can listen to the whole "Lost In Boston IV" CD here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_k4O-xydXcPG9FBCQy-aCmQ_1J9m6Aqwog The LITTLE SHOP songs are cute, if not as brilliant as the rest of the show. But fun to listen to.
Oh wow I knew about the other songs but not about this album, this is amazing
Oh how I remember that anti-drug cartoon special. The nightmares…
Upper 70s like heaven. It's been in the 100s here in Southern Oregon. I grew up in Washington and have never gotten used to the heat down here.
The PNW is supposed to be cool!!! I'm desperate for a rainy day!
