And the winner, out of nowhere, with only one pregnancy in the last year of the "Pregnancy Contest", was Ruth Hollyheath! I wonder when we last saw her? Some old demonic animation and a sketch or two were her last appearances. Congrats to the "lucky" winner!
As everyone kept guessing who would win, I kept changing the winner from the obvious choices until I decided that Ruth might be a perfect fit. She didn't really have much of a unique trait, and this would be a good opportunity to revamp her into something a little different. I wonder what will happen in the Deluxe... smirk
Anyway, that's enough outta me. Time to take a little break and then get back to work on my next Rive animation. TTFN!

Wow, it really has been a long time. I guess either the Demon lord or Mimi's rituals had some really lasting affects on Ruth. Let's just hope the contest judges don't learn about her past lol
I hadn't considered that, but I'd like to think if the ritual had any lingering effect, it was the occasional nightmare, and having to look after a (demonic) baby that came out of nowhere haha. Even if it had effect on her reproductive abilities, she didn't do it to herself, nor did it happen during the contest, so it's fair game...maybe
Ruth! I never thought we'd see her again (even though I hoped we would) so this is a pleasant surprise.
Okay, I thought this was funny. But I have a suggestion! During the scene where the doctor is in shock. Have it like this... Doctor displays shocked face for a few seconds, then her glasses gloss over with white. Then the glasses crack, following her nose arching a stream of blood!

There won't be any birth in the Deluxe, but I may do a separate "Birth Deluxe" with a birth for Nicky, Fawn and Ruth. No idea when I'll do that, though...
While part of me was hoping Janet would be the winner, I have to admit Ruth's intro in this was really endearing, plus the fact she's a dark horse candidate both in her world and ours is pretty fun. Love how big her belly is already here, and am really looking forward to seeing the rest of her story play out in the Deluxe.
About five people guessed my original idea, which was "Janet wins and doesn't even realise the Pregnancy Contest was happening," so I figured her winning was way too obvious. I'm sure people would have been fine with that ending, though haha As for the Deluxe, we'll have to see how a massive amount of money changes a person >:)
