For now what you would see is a pale, no color, misty screenshot.. ?
Yes..
and there are even more screenshots like these:
as all taken / recorded via Apple ProRes 422 LT in 4K with Apple Log 2 - HDR Color Space, Blackmagic Cam with an iPhone 18 Pro
I recorded some footage last week from the "Places We Go" with my new iPhone 18 Pro (this is not Max but I have another 18 Pro Max which I used for "normal" recordings, too - will share)
Now as of today I start putting these test footage, which has my comments and my view on this festival, together into one exclusive video by the help of DaVince Resolve Studio + some nice new LUTs for Apple
Results?
Well, as I´m writing this I just started and as I will try to get best quality in 4K the results will be coming tonight at later hours and or tomorrow probably..
What I will try to do:
Work with the original 4K Apple ProRes 422 LT footage recorded in Apple Log 2.
Correct exposure, white balance, and highlights while preserving maximum detail.
Apply proper color space transformation from Apple Log 2 to Rec.709.
Fine-tune contrast, saturation, and skin tones for natural, accurate colors.
Apply subtle cinematic color grading and carefully selected LUTs.
Reduce noise where necessary while preserving fine details and natural textures.
Export a high-quality 4K master with 10-bit color depth.
Create a final 4K HEVC/H.265 version optimized for exceptional image quality and playback.
The goal: To get the absolute best possible image quality out of the original footage, with beautiful, natural colors, excellent detail, and a professional finish.
I will share the result as a video, probably two videos one in 4K and one in Full HD for your convenience here for sure.
just to let you know and as always, if you are new here check this post:
