PACT is LIVE on Kickstarter!

PACT, the new horror RPG from Black Lantern Productions — the award-nominated studio behind Soulmist — is LIVE right now on Kickstarter.

If dark, character-driven RPGs are your thing, this is definitely one you’ll want to take a look at.

A game about power — and the price of it

Humanity has always walked hand-in-hand with its worst impulses. Greed. Vanity. Lust. Hate.

Sometimes those impulses whisper to us. Sometimes they offer something in return.

And sometimes… we accept.

In PACT, you play a Pactbearer — someone who made a deal with a demon and gained access to terrifying supernatural abilities. But the power you receive is never truly yours. Every gift carries a cost, and every decision drags you a little closer to corruption.

This is an old-school, narrative-first horror RPG built for intense roleplaying scenes, moral dilemmas, psychological tension, and stories where the real horror comes from watching your character slowly change.

  • Year Zero Engine, adapted to focus on temptation, corruption, and desperate bargains

  • Blasphemies, reality-twisting abilities granted by your demon… and the risk that comes with using them

  • Religious and occult horror, inspired by scripture, myth, and apocryphal traditions

  • Secret factions and hidden agendas shaping the supernatural world behind everyday life

The result is a game built for character-driven horror, difficult choices, and stories that slowly spiral into darkness.

A hidden world beneath our own

PACT takes place in a modern world that looks ordinary on the surface, but hides something darker underneath.

Demons don’t always look like monsters.
They make promises.
They make deals.

And when someone accepts… the real story begins.

If you enjoy games like KULT, World of Darkness, or other Free League-style narrative RPGs, PACT should absolutely be on your radar.

The campaign is LIVE now on Kickstarter, so if this kind of dark storytelling speaks to you, it’s absolutely worth checking out while the campaign is running.
