AND THE WINNERS ARE…

The second round of our 2025 Painting Contest is done and the winners have been decided.

All of them have won a place in the First Quarter Final, which will take place in April, and the amazing prizes from our great contest sponsors AMERALABS and THE ARMY PAINTER.

We also want to congratulate all participants, whether they have won or not. All of you have done great pieces and the decision has not been easy.

Finally, before we announce the winners, we want to remind you that modifying the minis is not allowed. Please, take this into account, since for the second month in a row some very talented participants did not win due to this rule. If you have any doubts you can check the Rules & Guidelines of the contest or directly ask us.

With no more delay, here are the winners in each category for the February Round:

For the Monthly category, where, as you know, only painted minis from our February releases can participate, we are happy to announce that the winners are:

The winners of the Monthly Category for the February Round are:

  • 1st place: David Bowser for his painting work on Ymircyne.

Ymircyne, the lady of the Rot -a giant entity- is surrounded by classically painted venomous mushrooms but simultaneously so beautifully depicted. Look at her! Sitting majestic and lustful on her abominable throne as she is tinkering with the luminous yellow-green spindle. This way, pure simplicity is the dominant characteristic of the monthly winner's painting job.

  • 2nd place: World_of_fantastic_minis for Phobian.

The intense tone of silvery shade represents something extraterrestrial. These are the Phobians, a thousand light years away from us. They are beyond humanity, transhumans, and bioengineered warriors. The contender here made sure to remind us what is beyond.

  • 3rd place: Laeventures for his painting work on The Black Archon.

The colors' choice may not be representative of the name of this gargantuan lord avatar, the Black Archon, but we can discern οtherness and this painting work says that even a black lord can be structured differently in comparison to what we have used to think.

Let's now go to the Classic Category winners! This new category for 2025, where participants can enter with any previous Archvillain Games mini, except the current month's release models. Many have participated in this category so it has been even tougher to pick the winners in the Classic Category and here they are:

The winners of the Classic Category for the February Round are:

  • 1st place: Mia Scha for Anecralon - Archon of Teletes.

The green-pale of Anecralon's otherworldly body, the fabulously painted dragon's mantle which literally deceives you into thinking it is a real fabric, and the Book of the Dead as it has been depicted through other shots of the winner's album were some of the features that drove us to pick Anecralon as the victorious painting submission for the classic category of February.

  • 2nd place: Cedric Bernard with the Iskaldyr.

Be careful now! Iskaldyr, an ancient elemental of the Plane of Ice, has been summoned by the contender Cedric, through his mystical painting ritual. He stands and watches, radiating a ravishing neutron blue from his own scales.

  • 3rd place: Zensyntax for his painting work on Vor'Vekai

The colors choice illustrates excellently this mechanic gore-harvester. Bright aquamarine and deep purple/Bordeaux feature the core of the metallic body. Electric blue claws wash shading complete the impressive result.

Congratulations to all winners who qualify for the first Quarter Final that will take place in April, but that is not their only reward, they will also be getting some amazing prizes from our sponsors that we detail for those of you who have not checked them before.

Finally for those, who still do not know about our 2025 painting contest, here you can check the Rules and Guidelines of the contest, where you will find all you need to know about its structure, categories, prizes, how to participate, and much more.

Remember that the March round is the last chance to get a place in the First Quarter Final that grants two places for the 2025 Grand Final for each category.

To say goodbye to February Round let's congratulate the winners one more time for their splendid pieces and wish you all the best luck on March Round.
