Ashley's Voice!
Hey guys! We've reached another milestone, and I told you when we did, I would start looking into voice actors! I've just finished up sending out the script for a voice actress to start working on Ashley's lines, and to continue to play her going forward! This is an exciting new step for House Party, and all of you guys supporting the game are helping me make it happen! We're looking at possibly having Ashley's character voice-acted by version 0.6.0 release.
I am also in negotiations with voice actors for Madison, Stephanie, Katherine, and Frank. I'll keep you posted, and I will post samples when I can!

I see you are adding voice actresses to your gameplay, and I thought I would throw my hand up and let you know that I would love to be considered, if all the female roles haven't already been cast. Yes, as a $10 supporter you should be on 0.4.4. Those are both available in that version.
oh totally on board with adding a lot to the game and I don't mind how the voices sound but it's the actual delivery -for example Madison should get excited while talking about parading Ashley around naked -did u cast on looks of the voice actor?lol just kidding but sometimes fatties and dogs can have angel voices -anyway i'll admit I'm only going on you tube videos for now since I'm only a 10 dollar but I just don't think they're putting in the effort - could be just too fussy , there are triple A games that have lousy voice acting in my opinion ,horizon zero dawn would be an example
Yeah it could just be the few lines you heard. Maybe when you can try it in context it'll sound better to you. I feel like it really adds to the gameplay. I actually told the actress to deliver Madison dry and unimpressed because that's how I envision her, so that could have been my fault. I guess she could have been a little more excited about that line, but overall I thought it came out really good.
don't wanna upset anyone but I don't think the voice actors are very good -it's like they're reading straight of a page without even thinking about what they're saying
I've gotten mostly positive feedback to the voice actors. I've been very selective to pick people that I think are doing a good job. I had some actors read for some parts, and ended up recasting the role because I didn't like the result, but I think Madison, Ashley, and Frank are on point. I know everybody has their own idea of what the characters will sound like in their own head since they haven't had voices from the start, so there have been a few people who have said it wasn't what they were expecting, but overall I think it adds a lot to the game.
He posted a couple sound files from the actresses in discord, rest assured the voices are pretty on point.
