You heard it on The Sims Summit briefly, but I am now happy to officially announce that I am an Official Mod Squad member on CurseForge. The new home of #TheSims4 mods, custom content & more! Launching 14th November.
I've seen a few concerned messages about this announcement, so just wanted to reassure you that this new platform will have zero effect on all of my other platforms including here on Patreon. CurseForge is a new destination to download all of my free content & its a fool proof way to make sure all your mods and cc is kept up to date. I too was very happy to see you recognized on the Sims' announcement and that they featured your work! I would like to know how work is updated through Curse Forge. Do you have to do the updates or is it automated? I remember when windows and doors lost their cutouts or seating didn't work and you had to do an update or we had to use the Studio to do a batch update. It would be very ideal if have patches didn't break the hosted content or the content was automatically updated. That would save you drudge work and keep us playing with less problems. I will continue to subscribe to your Patreon because your work is so worth it and I can't imagine that Curse Forge will provide adequate compensation for a long time... Unless you win the 100k, that is! Cheers
I think the compensation via CurseForge is mininmal. Its based on how popular your project is and comes from a share of the advertising revenue generated. All content on there will be free, so Patreon and all my other platforms will remain in place

I hope you can get compensation from mod downloads through Overwolf/CurseForge. I'd happily pay a subscription fee / look at ads if it meant creators get some form of compensation for it.
yes there is a rewards system in place to help compensate creators that share their content via CurseForge
I feel they came up with a great way to help with mods, bugs and updates and, well, all the things mods. 😁 It promotes everyone etc. I look forward to seeing what comes next for simmers and creators.

Just wondering will all mods/cc that are currently in my mods folder going to be still OK to use. I literally have everything from you and Felix and a few others
Yes whats great about the CurseForge app is that its a mod manager for not only content downloaded through their platform but all other content in your mods folder. You won't be able to auto update that content, but it will make it a lot easier to find, organise and disable out of date or unwanted content
