HALP ME!!!!!!!
So, its time to come clean...this month I decided I was going to step outside of the box and create a cas item for next month...36 skin tones based on Pat Mcgrath Labs foundations to be exact. These skin tones were to be in celebration of Black History month here in the UK. I wanted to create something linked to a great Black British icon (Pat McGrath MBE) & that would give back to a great charity (Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust) that tackles inequality in all of its forms. This includes inequality of access, and of opportunity, wherever it occurs.
However after the announcement by The Sims today (read it here), I feel like my efforts may be wasted for the second time in 3 months! The University windows and doors were created as August's reward and shortly after release, were rendered useless by a patch (I will be sending out a DM to all patrons effected by this later today) and I'm concerned that I would be putting my time into these skins tones that will no longer be required as the team in fixing the existing ashy ones and before the end of the year adding in even more tones along with a slider for even more customisabilty. Which is a great thing to happen for all in the community! Its also of a very high probability that either the planned patch on the 6th of October or the later one to add in even more skin tones & that new slider system will rend these skins tones obsolete. I would like to also let you know that no matter the outcome of the poll below, if the EA skintones are awful, I will complete the project at a later date. Bad skintones will be a thing of the past, whether they are from EA or from myself :)
So I want to throw this conundrum out to you guys. Help me decide in which direction to go! Should I continue and finish the skins as planned or should we hold our first build month instead?
The build month would consist of a whole month filled with Patreon exclusive builds in all shapes & sizes. Its something I have been churning around for a while, because I would still love to be able to create builds, but can't seem to find the time while focusing solely on CC. During build month there would be polls for you to choose the direction of the builds that I create and you will get exclusive use of them during the month. So this could mean, I finally build your dream home! I still do want to give back next month in honor of UK Black History month, so no matter the direction you choose, I will still be pledging 10% of next months pledges to The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Fund. So, what is it to be build month or cc skins? Feel free to leave any questions you have below. PLEASE HALP ME DECIDE!!

I would love the skintones, but wait for ea to release theirs and then fix yours to work with the new system :)
I only have base game so can never use your beautiful builds 馃槩 Would it be possible for you to do a build that鈥檚 only base game and your cc packs at some point? I鈥檇 love to be able to have one in my game!
Thats a great idea & something I wanted to do for Tiny Twavellers. Hopefully now with even more content, it will make it easier
along with build mode you could also do tutorial of how to get your builds into game once they are installed in tray folder as i still seem to fail at this lol

Given the EA announcement I would wait and do the skin tones later on if/when you notice they're just not what you/the community had wished for. I'd love to see a build month! :)
i def have enough skins for now.....but whatever you do it will be BOMB...be sure to take care of yourself though
I think the update swayed me to build but it would have been neat to see your CAS style. Were you thinking completely Maxis match?

I doubt the thread of the EA Leak was correct, but it just in case it might be true "highly doubtful" it would be great to see how you build as am new to your content patron page and am IN Love with what I'm seeing and using so far.

Something to think about would be to do overlay skin tones that way we can use your beautiful creations and also fine tune them using EA sliders :)
Personally I doubt EA will ever make skin tones that I want to use over CC ones. A build month would also be awesome.
It's possible that EA's update will break cc skins so better to stay away from them for now!
I would love a "build month" don't feel tied to only doing CC! I think a build month will help you take time to plan out really good CC in the future and will give you a chance to slow down
I guess I'll say build month...but, with EA's track record and shenanigans 馃檮馃檮, I wouldn't quite negate the skin tones yet!! Maybe save them and see what EA calls better skin tones, then maybe do that for another month, if need be. Lol, just my honest opinion!
Gosh I love the idea of the Pat McGrath skin tones so much but if they鈥檙e going to do something similar in-game anyway I don鈥檛 want you to feel like your time and energy has been wasted. You鈥檝e got to do what feels like the best use of your time and what you鈥檇 have the most fun with!
Build month. You don鈥檛 want to release something that, even tho I doubt, EA will do well as well. It would just duplicate. If they release a set of awful skintones then go ahead and make them next month. Your project will not runaway but you might avoid wasting your own time. And, well, I鈥檓 biased. I miss your builds 馃槆
I love the idea of a build month! I have no doubt that your skin tones will blow EA鈥檚 away (I mean.. come on) but I鈥檇 hate to see you waste your time. You鈥檝e got my support either way, your work is top notch.. 馃憣馃徑
