Getting stuck right into the meat of arc 4 now, as things up in Plato Base continue to unfold for our poor shipwrecked magical girl. But at least she's not alone on the vast grey island of the moon, at least she's got plenty of company, though she might not want it all. Poor Octavia! But there's no turning back now.
As for behind the scenes, things are still on track, proceeding as planned ... well, mostly. To peel back the curtain a bit, this chapter got much longer than I thought it would, mostly because Octavia (and everyone else involved) acted in ways I hadn't planned for, hadn't fully expected, and surprises like that are very welcome! The next chapter (which is currently drafted but not yet edited) is even more extreme in that regard. I am no longer in charge of these magical girls, and they are careening off as they please, while I must tidy up after them and lay tracks before them. Which is great!
I dearly hope you're all having just as much fun reading Maidens as I am writing about them! Anyway, here we go, onward once again! Back to Luna's finest fortress.

Listened to this in a free ereader app (ReadEra) and the TTS voice I chose semi-randomly in the past is an androgynous but quite posh English accent — sort of aggressively supercilious public school child? ... NOT the ideal choice for this story but also hilarious
Oh wow. Yeah, that doesn't sound quite right for Octavia! Still, it would be fascinating to hear what she sounds like in that kind of voice.

Scarlet seems to really like it rough.^^ And is a good artist, wonder whether she will answer. Would be interesting to have them chat online sometimes.
Scarlet has grown totally obsessed with a woman who bit her and punched her, that is, ahem, certainly some level of rough. As for an answer to Octavia's message, ohohoho, maybe!
im so sorry for going on about it, but I ADORE how you write the zoogs. they're so small and round and scrungly <3 meanwhile, things are happening!
There is never any need to apologise for appreciating the divine presence is that is zoogs! If I have captured even a tiny sliver of their scrungliness, then I am delighted, thank you!
