Maidens of the Fall, Arc 3, Pariah, Chapter 4
Chapter creeps through rain-torn streets, down alleyways of grime and up unquiet hills, hunting for treats while all others sleep.

Arc 3 reaches the big messy middle! Or not so messy, actually; I feel like I've managed to keep a pretty tight hand on this one, narratively speaking, even if the characters are completely beyond my control, as always.
As for the middle, yeah, that's where we're at! Current plans still put this at 7-8 chapters, though of course, one cannot predict what might happen in a dream. Unless one is a Dreamer. And I'm not that, am I, metatextually speaking? Uh oh.
Anyway! I am still delighted with how this is all going, as we speed toward the end of the beginning, the conclusion of the introduction. And I hope you're all enjoying it too, dear readers, because I am absolutely loving where Maidens of the Fall is going!
And now, onto the chapter!

I hope chapter finds many treats...
The chapter is very happy and well-fed now, on many treats indeed!
Oho an ocean of blood eh?! Well, we know what you've been watching XD
Oh! Haha, actually I haven't seen it yet (though I am planning to). An odd little coincidence, I guess???
Octavia, blushing like a maiden about to faint: "Cuddling? Holding hands with a girl other than Willow!? I'm unfaithful, a borderline slut, with no self-control."
Octavia sure does have some very extreme standards for herself! No wonder she's a pressure-cooker on the inside.
It's gonna absolutely kill me to wait for the next chapter, what the hell is even going on anymore.
Ohohoho! Very good question! Octavia seems to have stepped back into a dream. But who is the dreamer, and who is the dreamed? And yes, I wish I could write even faster! This might be one of the cruelest cliffhangers I've ever done.
I am so worried
Hahaha! Ahem. I suppose one should be. Things sure do seem a little 'dream-like' right now, or perhaps nightmarish, for our Octavia.
