Necroepilogos chapter on January 1st is delayed/cancelled - because I'm real sick!

Hello everyone!

There will be no Necroepilogos chapter this week (patron or public), because I am unexpectedly rather unwell. My apologies! That's all. It's not serious, don't worry, I'll be back soon, and so will the zombie girls.

Well, you can probably guess that I really didn't want to do this, especially because I'm trying to get another chapter ahead for Necroepilogos patrons, but I don't really have much of a choice. I'm really sorry to everybody who looks forward to that weekly chapter.

I'm real sick. Like sick sick; I haven't been sick like this in years. Half a decade at least, maybe more, mostly thanks to the kind of caution engendered by the pandemic. So! I don't know what this is. A bad cold, flu, covid itself? I'm vaccinated for basically everything under the sun, but just in case it is covid, I'm not taking any chances.

Yesterday was meant to be a full day of drafting, but this crept up on me late on Saturday, so I figured I better take a real day off, do as little as possible, sleep a bunch more, and hey, maybe I'll wake up Monday feeling better! I didn't; it's worse. Now, I could push through this, I know I could; I could finish drafting the chapter I'm halfway through, and push myself through an edit anyway, but ... it would be a bad chapter. I'm using all my effort right now to write this. And I know if I push myself today and tomorrow just to get one Necro chapter done, that puts me at risk of crashing harder afterward.

So, I'm going to keep the promise I made a while ago, and prioritize the long-term, both for myself and for the stories. I don't want to write and edit a fever dream chapter by accident, and I don't want to push myself for one bad day at the cost of worse later on.

I'm not sure what to do about the actual scheduled break week next Thursday; in the past if I had to skip a publishing date, I would hop right back in the next week. But right now I have the publishing schedule of both stories lined up juuuuust right. I also can't tell if this worry is the viral mass in my respiratory system talking, so I'm not gonna make a decision just yet. I might just use this extra time to get ahead on Necro again, once I feel better. Whatever happens, Necroepilogos will return at the latest on January 15th, like normal! (Maidens should be unaffected, since this is the Maidens break week anyway.)

Anyway, thank you all for understanding, and for all your support in making my stories possible; I'll be back to drafting and editing as soon as I'm better.

And now, I am going to crawl back into my burrow and sleep this off. Seeya soon!
