I wanted to experience Aptera, so I emailed them and they said yes! As stated in the video, I was seriously impressed by their prototype and the progress they exhibited. I really hope they're able to make it to market!

I found out yesterday that my brothers girlfriend works in the same building as Aptera. She sends me pictures of the car anytime she sees it now.
Any chance we could get your reservation code? I know you didn’t want to give it out in the video to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest but I learned about it from you and it seems only fair you should get the credit for that
I want to RallyCross it, but I also say that about everything.
I started watching the video and had to pause it immediately because of some weird memory flashbacks, so I came here to ask. Have you ever heard of Elio motors?
This isn't like Elio. Well, probably.
While interesting, the part of the video that got me was "$0.10 kWh" *looks at her home power at the equiv of $0.35 kWh* Jeolous? me?
I've had so many people tell me how cheap my electricity that I say it almost to brag
Do they have any plans for taking their research to a family sized car or SUV? while it looks cool, There isn't enough space in the car or a couple with one of more children, or to get a full load of groceries and errands in it. This could not be the only car for most people. Just like the heat/ac having a dramatic effect on range, I can see any cargo in the back having a big drain on the range.
Extra weight would have very little if any effect on range. And yes! They're planning a four seat version and even an SUV later on. I don't understand their plans for an SUV at all, but that's what they said
I've wanted to order one of these for a while, just not in a financial position to order a car sight unseen and not even in production. Totally unrelated, I drove the UMN Borealis 2 solar car back in the day, and helped on the design and build of Borealis 3. I swear I'm not trying to pretend it's 20 years ago. Nope.
Cool car, perfect for smooth roads and mild climates. I don't think it could handle snow, ice, or gravel though...
If me and my bike (non electric, just a regular bike) can handle climbing an icy path uphill towing a trailer, this car can.
Red and White car ...... Please we need more info... 😉
He explains about them in one of the other Patreon only videos.
Robert what are the little red and white cars in your ad??
😁
IMO clamping the max brightness of the overexposed shots like at 1:50 just doesn't work (or maybe it's just too strong?). The original may not look great but I think this fix is worse.
I completely screwed up the ISO for many of the shots. The post correction looks bad, but it absolutely looks better than the original footage
I would love one. Have they given any indication on their international intensions?
That's a good question. I don't know!
I feel really old having heard of and actually having followed Aptera back in like 2005 or something.
I do kinda wish it had back seats :/
Wow. I'm gonna be honest, I want one of these now, once they have a heat pump. I have slight concerns about tire and brake service, right to repair stuff - how does it look from that perspective? Do they seem like the kind of company to make sure parts stay available years down the line?
I can only guess on this. They seem like the kind of company to give tools for repair to the customer, but again I don't know for sure
I have a deposit down on one, looking forward to your video and the day they finally start rolling off the assembly line.
I asked them for an estimate of start of production. They make zero promises, but they hope to have a few hand built early cars delivered at the end of the year
