The first of three videos (four cars total) I filmed at the Lane Motor Museum last week. Enjoy!

These still seem hard to get in Europe. I guess there's a lot of demand and the only place they produce them is a factory in Morocco.
Great video 👍 While it does look FUN, like a silly golf buggy, and being a "light vehicle" can make it more accessible to drive for some.... Boy is that price ridiculous! 😂 I mean, if you need cheap town motoring you can just pick up a Smart fortwo 451. Better trim spec, more practical, all can do atleast 70 (my own tweaked one does over 115mph), have a range of atleast 250+ miles which will only cost you about £40 even for super, and have a spacious boot (on par with a normal small hatchback). I mean, a Smart 451 does EVERYTHING better than an Ami, is roughly the same size, and costs a third of the price, and won't loose 75% of it's value in 3 years. 😂 Hell, I found a Smart 451,hybrid, with only £35 a year road tax, and most of a year's annual vehicle inspection left, all for less than the cost of just the deposit of the Ami 😱 The savings on monthly payments alone would cover 700 miles a month of petrol.
I saw this video yesterday evening and while driving through Belgium to get to work I saw an Ami drive in front of me... I turned around to take a photo, however while I was turning it took a turn somewhere and vanished 😔
The Lane is the most magical place on earth. Did you also learn some French because of your love for French cars? Or was it pre existing?
I learned those three phases for the video and that's about it. French is just really fun to speak
Btw are you liking the Riven better then the polestar?
Love that place. Wish I lived closer, I would be a volunteer for sure. First visited last month. How many times have you been? The story of the ludicrous amphib is epic. The MGs they still own after all these years. The wild and weird cars. All fun. Did you see the cars for sale? When I was there they were selling an Indy car, lol. And a Spitfire and an Innocenti Spyder.
And this one has not been rolled taking the hairpin in Monaco! ...probably. 😂 I love quirky French cars... or quadricycles as the case may be!
Is that Rivian yours...?
Wait wait wait! What about the preposterous amphibious vehicle behind you?? It's not small but it's very old and terrible. Seems mostly on brand for you?
Not on this trip, but maybe in the future!
Its it such a..... french.... car. I haven't seen one in the wild yet so i'll withhold aesthetic judgement but they seem excellent for their intended purpose: being cheap and getting one (or two at a push) around a city. What you may have overlooked for that price conversion is that the UK prices include TAX (VAT) of 20% and our "road tax" (VED) among other things. so $10,134.33 (current at the time of writing) equivalent would be the total cost needed to drive the vehicle on the roads apart from delivery to the house (optional), insurance and electricity. so it might be more accurate to put the equivalent usd sticker price at around $8,000. or maybe slightly less. my knowledge on U.S. car titles and licencing is minimal. but keep up the great content. Always entertaining!
This explains a lot. The website listed the price as "OTR" which I definitely should've looked more into. Thankfully I showed the UK pricing directly on the screen so anyone in the know can real time fact check me. I'll add a note in the comments

Do you have a microwave specifically for the factor ads or is it just your home one that you take with you?
It's my prop microwave
I LOVE the lane videos! I have watched the old ones all literally 20 times!
Gosh, I love these museum videos so much. Thanks for bringing them back. A couple questions for you: (1) Is the quoted recharge speed of the AMI at 220v? I suspect the time would be longer at 110v? (2) Your test car was missing the mobile phone clip... but there is one.
I wondered how it handled charging at 120 volts. Or if it even does handle it. I didn't have anyone to ask, unfortunately. I figured the phone clip was just missing along with the Bluetooth speaker
I so wish I could get one here in Finland, they are goofy as heck.
It's as cute as you.
Awesome!!
