I Bought a Silverado EV

This is, without question, an unnecessary purchase. Living with and towing with an electric truck is just an experience I really wanted to have, and a thing I've wanted to make videos about. I'll only be keeping this for the year for a variety of reasons, but I'm going to use the crap out of this thing during that time.

Robert, sorry for being off topic, but do you believe a used PS2 that qualifies for the used credit to be an good option? I'm coming from a Bolt so the charge curve is already a serious upgrade but the efficiency loss would probably be a bit noticeable.
Of course I do! As for the efficiency difference, that depends on your use case. Is 200 miles of full charge range enough for you? Is 140 miles between stops (80-10%) enough for you?
Hey Robert, awesome video. Hope you're alright with the crazy weather.
It actually didn't hit me at all!
Now I want the domain www.alltheway.home
Have you thought about building something for the trailer area to make it more aerodynamic, then testing the results? Maybe start with a big bag that would go over the car and trailer? That would make for a fun episode.
The picture is quite dark. Did you change monitor calibration or something? I put a screenshot to Resolve to look at the histogram, and there is lots of spare on both ends, dark and light ends.
Not on every scene though, only some. Take a look at the talking head sequences for example.
Don’t let Adam Neumann know you’ve stolen the name “We”…
"Slow for an electric truck" 0-60 as fast as my 2022 Honda Civic at probably around 6 times the gross vehicle weight. I've never driven an EV, but they sound like fun.
Okay, so. Like literally this, but small commuter car. Like, Honda Fit, or HR-V-ish level, 2WD/4WD options, maybe 200-250 miles or so range, for I dunno 90%-10%. With maybe 100-150KWh (*maybe* 200KWh total) future solid-state battery. The Honda Series 0 EV concepts look nice. With the advancements happening so quickly, it will be mine. Oh yes. I absolutely love the delivery, you really get excited about, nominally, standard-ish features, but all done kinda, well and liveable? EDIT: Do you now have, a shop pet? Annex Animal?
Always hoping for an electric Fit someday. I’d imagine we’d have to give up the low cargo floor though, which would be disappointing.
Great video! Bravo! Also...I skip past a lot of ads, but the odd whistling and pausing in this one legit amused me so much I couldn't bring myself to skip it. I just *had* to see where it was going. O.O 😂
I just hope the climax of that mini plot wasn't too disappointing. I couldn't figure out where to make it go!
Was "This is text yo" at 5:41 intentional?
No. It was placeholder text I accidentally left in, but it's not worth re-rendering and re-publishing the video to remove it
I look forward to the content but God it's an ugly truck.
😂 I thought so too, but it's grown on me since I've had it. Although the same thing could be said about a tumor
I feel like at the end of the year you should get in touch with Deboss garage and get in on the Edison range extended conversion project. You’ve got an old truck you’re not getting rid of with a worn out powertrain and plenty of ev knowledge to do the swap.
What is with your luck and weird problems with cars? Coda yes, its old and converted. Newish Mercedes ok.. they break weird but it wasn't that old. GM truck from last year (looks over shoulder) ok, this is on purpose. who's doing this?
At least it makes for good content And the Polestar was basically trouble free!
I was looking forward to a polygon/dumpster cybertruck joke.
Too obvious
The battery pack in the Silverado weights 10% more than my entire EV. Also a start has been made on the white Solo, glorious.
*starts playing a video game ... gets email ... pauses game to watch Robert do a great video*
Regarding the charging and climate control thing, my 24 Lyriq does not have that issue, very strange.
That's good to hear. It must be a problem unique to the double stacker packs
Oooo
