Wait, I'm confused. I thought this series was for *cursed* movies. Literally all of these are kino.

fun fact: if Fantastic Planet won (seems pretty obvious by now it won't), it would've been the first movie covered on the show that's in the Criterion Collection.
Man, I really want to see *all* of these. Except maybe The Point. I know it's going to be a victory for Wizards, and that's gonna be something, but Flight of Dragons looks like a real fascinating spectacle, I've actually read Phantom Tollbooth, and Fantastic Planet is apparently a film festival darling.
Fantastic Planet looks too close to Monty Python Animation to take it seriously... Also, I had seen Wizards prior to this because it came to Youtube a while ago, and I can't in good conscious NOT vote for it.
It did the use the same animation as Monty Python (paper cut outs), but but instead of using the obviously cheap moving like Monty Python, they draw drawing and cut outs for each frame, I believe the whole animation took like 2-4 years to complete. The movie is Raw as fuck, and I hoped it would win as then Dan would have to commentate over a movie in the Criterion Collection.
These are all so insane, I wish I could vote for you to watch all of these.

My heart says wizards but my soul says tollbooth. I am also realizing that either A) I saw Fantastic Planet as a child and repressed it or B) Jung was right and that movie is a distillation of the collective unconsciousness
God ive never wanted the gigaboys to watch all the movies before. I feel like Wizards would be the most coherent oh the movies, but that ending....

Wizards looks way too radical to be cursed. Flight of Dragons is a close second to me just because Aggro called it an isekai.

Wizards is fucking amazing and the definition of "Raw" with the best ending to anything ever.
