I am blessed to have discovered "League of Maidens." I love this game. There is more to it than T & A suggestive themes, etc. This game is deeper than what people may see or view from a distance. It is not a pay-to-play game. You can play it free too. Or support the devs and get yourself the amazing content available from the "Shop", etc.

I am very dissatisfied with the game in general and with the no money back policy of Maidengaiming.

hello, good to be able to find an entertaining game. From Steam I always search until I come across this game and put it on my wish list a few months ago. I played it and it has quite a bit of power. gameplay, movement, outfit and many more and more things that will be added over time. (Created with few developers leaves me speechless) EXCELLENT JOB. I know it's in alpha and errors are normal when it's in alpha or beta, but that doesn't bother me at all. What happens is that it is a good game with a great release, if they had it for sale I would buy it because it is worth it and I know that in time they will do a great job. On the other hand, I like it because they put it to play only one player because if it was multiplayer, I would not play it for many hours. Hopefully you put the multiplayer mode but apart and if you want to play with one person you can add it and play. for my taste it is fine to play alone, I like to play like that. but hey there are tastes The truth is that I congratulate all the developers who did a great job.

Here is my steam review. I suggest this game but in a very limited fashion. The reason I suggest it is because I had fun with the combat and the rewards for staying on make it interesting to see what you can get. The Dev team is very active and with a income from a patreon line of support they know they are very dependent on the opinions of the player base. Now with the positives come quite a few negatives. This is still Alpha, so you can expect more than a few bugs. I reported a bug and they were quick to get the problem sorted so I won't hold it against them. The UI is over crowded and a chore to navigate. I am fairly used to two currencies one paid and one free, but this has effectively 3 currencies. This is a little less annoying than it could be as you are often given a choice which currency to use. If you have been following the reviews there is a very common theme: Too much of a pay wall. When more than half the content is pay locked few people are going to stick around. I am willing to pay $10 a month but not willing to pay that AND have to buy most cosmetic options. Hopefully the rather shameless cash grab is just to get this off the ground and we will see a vast increase in free options. I doubt that will improve in Alpha but perhaps in Beta we will see things move in this direction. TLDR: If you are looking for action and cheesecake in a game this is it, but expect lots of flaws and growing pains in the Alpha.

I've been playing League of Maidens for a few hours now and currently about to reach chapter 4. I've noticed Maidens draws a lot of inspiration from different games, Nier Automata being one of the most prevalent based on aesthetic look, music, and combat, which I think is an absolutely fantastic & masterful game to be inspired by, if so. More than just Nier, League of Maidens's fast paced combat can be seen similar to other titles such as Devil May Cry, Code Vein/God Eater, and maybe even some mechas like Armored Core or Gundam. I think League of Maidens could really benefit from some further updates to it's gameplay though as well as a few quality of life changes. Obviously the game is still in it's alpha stages as far from being a proper full game, but I think bringing up these additional changes is needed to know what can make the gameplay better. Combat in particular, I love the idea of what the combat is striving for, however it still has a lot of improvements to make it far better and more refined. I'll be honest, I think the combat at it's current state is barely more than halfway playable for the melee side. Here's a few things I think that should be added in the future for combat. - A lock-on feature for close range enemies. Having to constantly reposition my maiden over and over because they can't stay on point without overstepping past the enemy after a few attacks is annoying and can eventually become irritating making the game less fun and more of a chore. Not to mention since the character cannot attack omni-directional and is always forward, having to completely turn around to face the enemy quickly becomes tedious. With a lock-on, this would allow your character to maintain face-to-face focus on that enemy, which in turn would also make side-stepping, dodging/dashing, and sprinting in a circle around your enemy a lot more efficient. So far I've had to offset the constant overstepping by dashing backwards to reposition myself, which unfortunately wastes precious MP, resets the combo counter, and more often then not causes me to be 1 or 2 attack swings out of range. Games that do this really well would be most of the Zelda games, Nier, and Soulsborne games. Also, while it would make shooting way easier, having a lock-on for upclose enemies would be helpful if you just felt liking blasting an enemy pointblank with lead. - 360 omni-direction attacking. You already have 360 omni-direction movement while not attacking, so having this available while attacking would be fantastic as well. If lock-on isn't an option at this time, then I'd like to see an update to allow your maiden to be able to attack in any direction around them, and this includes being able to change the direction you're attacking on the fly. Having the only direction of attack be forward is very limiting; as stated for the lock-on feature request, constantly overstepping during your melee attacks makes combat more tedious when you have to turn around completely. Being able to attack in different directions including being able to attack left then quickly attack right can help when facing mobs, which is quite often. - Jump/plunging attacks Got to be honest, I'm surprised with how high your maiden can jump that you don't have either a jump attack or plunging attack. I know that when leaving flight you'll perform a 3-point landing that slams the ground and staggers nearby enemies, but this does no damage. I say having the ability to perform jump attacks and plunging attacks from would be great additions to the combat. - Dodge/Slide attacks. To add a little flair, having an attack when you press attack during/upon leaving your dodge could benefit as an engage and combo starter. This could also be done as a recovery attack when sliding, since you can slide for quite a long distance meaning you can use sliding as a means to engage. If it hasn't been thought of already, while I personally think the sliding animation is way too long, if shortened it could have potential to act as a slowmo during combat where you could aim your gun and shoot enemies. Hell, if guns were given a recovery attack while dodging or sliding, you could do something like having the maiden quickly spinning in a circle while shooting in all directions. - More attack chains. Keep in mind I haven't gotten too far into the story, so I don't know if this is something that'll be brought up later like through training or skill upgrades, but seeing as combos are apart of the game's combat, it would epic to have additional attacks. For instance, the Warrior Class usually performs a 3-hit attack animation that ends with a heavy overhead slash. With additional attack moves, imagine now performing that 3-hit attack, thrusting your blade into the enemy before slashing your blade upward from their stomach to their head, then ending with a heavy overhead slash that cracks the ground stunning nearby enemies. - Heavy attacks and light attacks. I think the game would benefit from having light and heavy attacks. I know you can perform the standard combo if you press or hold the left mouse button, but pressing a button multiple times is different than holding it down. I know a lot of mainstream games do this already, but with how League of Maidens plays, it would seem like having light attacks and heavy attacks would make it funner and more engaging. This would work great with the above request for more attack chains, as you could switch up your combos. We're already mixing and matching our spells into our combos, so adding light and heavy attacks would just be more fuel for the fire. - Slowmo stuns for perfect timed blocks and shield bashing to disrupt enemies. What good is a shield if only for blocking? Perfect timed blocks & parries are powerful in any action game or fighter. Take for instance God of War (2018): When an enemy is in mid swing attack and you bring up your shield, the moment they make contact they become repelled and stunned, which would be a great moment for slow mo to show there's an opening to counter attack your enemy. This isn't really something needed for League of Maidens, but it can be a great edition to punish enemies. In both Nier Automata and Soul Calibur, they do something similar when you get a perfect dodge or parry. On another note, holding guard and then attacking should opt for some kind of attack, either by bashing with your shield or striking out with your weapon with your shield raised. In my opinion, the shield is currently in a pitiful and laughable state of use, so showing it more love would bring players to use defensive stances & attacks more often as it would be useful. - Quick slots for consumable items. I've looked at the keyboard bindings and keyboard guide, however neither are showing any assigned keys your consumables, especially potions. Given the fact this game doesn't pause time when you enter your inventory, loadout, or homepage menu, your maiden is literally left open to enemy attacks, and in this game you can die quickly. Let's not forget your character has to perform a drinking animation which can take anywhere between 3-6 seconds of chugging, again, leaving you out in the open like a naked virgin girl between a group of ugly bastards. I noticed there's no key bindings for keys 5-0, so I'd say these would be optimal to put potions and other consumable items in these quickslots. Since this game isn't currently controller friendly, being able to see these quickslots on a toolbar near the top or bottom of the screen would be helpful as well, because let's be honest, since I don't have a quickslot key for healing, I often forget I have an inventory full of potions, and since I'm too focused on the fight, I'm not going to take a deadly chance to stop mid combat, open my bag to search for a potion, and activate it only to have my character now be stuck in a drinking animation in the middle of an angry mob. - More stagger for enemies and the player. In my opinion, depending on the attacks, enemies and your maiden should experience more stagger when attacked. I know a lot of players will disagree on this one, but I think it'll make the game slightly more challenging as well as engaging. Hear me out. We already have a dodge/dash that make you invincible for a generous period of time and is very quick to activate, so honestly stagger shouldn't be a negative except for leaving you open to follow up attacks. Obviously the game should be coded to prevent the player from being stagger locked in a never ending chain of staggers, but if you get staggered, it will usually result in a good flight response to dash away and make room to recollect yourself before engaging the enemy again. Similarly, a LOT of enemies need to be able to be staggered. I know the Wolf Clan Samurai are currently very easily staggered, so much so if you even breathe on them they get staggered, but I'm talking about smaller enemies too. For example, those beetle mobs you encounter all over the city should easily be staggerable when your final melee attack hits. For larger enemies, they should experience stagger on either your final melee attack or after experiencing a large amount of total combo damage. This would also incentivize players to go for combos so they can stagger enemies and exploit openings to get some big damage in. This could potentially work with the slowmo feature when stunning enemies or after dealing a set amount damage, again, showing and incentivizing an opportunity to attack the enemy during an opening. - Inventory auto sort or auto sort button. This is purely a visual comfort than something to improve gameplay, but in the future will we get a button to automatically sort the inventory or will the game auto sort on it's own? Just asking. Again, not something major, but seeing empty squares makes me have an urge to fill it. - In-game store prices for gold are too high for equipment & weapon mods. With how limited the in-game store equipiment and weapon mods are at this time, it's understandable that to help increase the longevity of the game, you'd want to make the gold prices for equipment more expensive. This way, if players want to buy that next headpiece or weapon mod, they're going to have to grind for the gold, however 100,000 gold is quite steep. Unless missions and enemy drops start rewarding more gold, buying a piece of equipment would be equivalent to buying 1000 assault rifle rounds, which the costs in buying ammo adds up over time, especially if you prefer shooting your gun rather than close melee combat. I hope these in-game gold prices go down in the future as the variety of equipment and mods increase. I know some people think grinding is fun, but if the rewards are barely worth it, and because this is currently a single player game with no friends to grind with, then players who don't like to grind are going to quickly lose interest in the game as it'll feel more like a job and less like a game. - In-game equipment & weapon skin preview window. I noticed that when browsing the gun skin store, you can't see what the weapon skin will look like. Eventually, players will simply buy all the skins for a weapon and all the equipable clothing so you can start mixing and matching to make a personally unique maiden, but a preview window would be nice to see what it is you're going to purchase and if you like it or not, so you aren't wasting gold. The cash-shop already does this for unique outfits, emotes, mounts, and other accessories, so having a small preview window for in-game store items would be nice as well. This isn't really something that improves the gameplay itself, but it would subconsciously improve the player's motivation and interest towards the game. - "I love the kind of woman that can kick my ass." ~ Spike Spiegel/Cowboy Bebop I know there's already a few different skin map textures for maidens, so I hope to see more in the store in due to time. Personally, I like to see a little muscle, not overly bulky or vascular like a body builder (unless you're into that kind of thing, all respect), but like an athletic muscle tone. Think about it, the world of League of Maidens is based on the real world, so if we're getting logical, especially since we're using similar tech, weapons, etc. It's slightly unnerving to see "super soldier" women wielding oversized weapons and guns look all the time like "super models." In my opinion, this shouldn't necessarily be the case, unless we're paying tribute to the meme of little girls and big guns. Think about Peter Parker. He was an average thin guy who didn't work out and definitely wouldn't last a fight with multiple people ganging up on him, let alone one bully. But, once he got bitten by a scientifically modified, radioactive spider, what happens to his body? He gains muscle mass, he got taller, faster, stronger, and a whole bunch of other physical enhancements to make him "super." Maiden's are super strong, super fast, so it makes sense that visually they should reflect this as well. If different muscle tone variations aren't needed as sellable skin maps in the store, then how about a muscle tone slider for the character creation tool? ***Correction about the skin muscle tone: There is a slider for the body's muscle map definition, HOWEVER, because the default starting outfit covers your entire body, you'd never know what that "Body Detail" slider for. I recommend there be an option to change into some kind of underwear so you can see your maiden's body clearly during character customization, otherwise you may not be customizing the way you want them to look.

There’s still a lot of improvements that should be made in the game before spreading the word. It’s a start, but there’s a lot to be done. I can see this turning into a great game, the potential is there, but there’s some steps that need to be made.
