Explanation (strip)

This is why I love small children before the education system ruins them. That's a plausible explanation. It might not be right, but she's using her imagination and trying. In school, she'd simply be labeled, "WRONG," and told to look up the correct explanation rather than be praised for trying and then GIVEN the correct answer. The child learns, yet is encouraged to keep imagining.

Pixie may have drawn the wrong conclusion, but she is on the right track towards the right answer. I’m fascinated by that kind of thing in history, where people drew wrong conclusions yet at the same time, you can see how they’re moving towards the right one.
