Forgetful (strip)

Lola’s face in that second pic is a whole mood
Poor Lola!
My parents once had a tabby cat even more forgetful than Lola - at least once a month he would fail to recognise his food bowl (nor the food in it) and we'd have to wave it under his nose until he tried the food, realised, "IS FOOD FLAVOUR! MINE FAVOURITE!" and happily ate the lot. I saw him get stuck in an infinite loop of licking a chili-con-carne tin (it was by the sink waiting to be rinsed out, we obviously didn't give it to him!) because "SMELL OF MEAT! YUM!", blinking in surprise because "OW, IS HOT!", then licking it again, blinking in surprise again, etc. until we took it away from him. I once saw him utterly perplexed because next door had tidied up their garden and removed all the dead leaves and old grass cuttings - he was so used to those being around the edges of all the gardens that he'd forgotten how to cover up with soil after using the gardens as toilets, so he was trying to drag the living stems of grass across and couldn't understand why they were stuck in the ground. (It was my parents' decision to allow their cats outdoors, I had no say in this matter.) He was the only one of the family's cats at the time who could understand how to use a treat-dispensing ball (because the one thing at which he was quite skilled was copying movements), but we'd have to show him again every single time because he'd forget in-between. Moving him off a chair didn't work because he'd jump straight back onto it; if you picked him up, flipped him over then set him on the floor, however, he'd spend the next thirty seconds looking around trying to work out where he was, which gave you time to sit in the chair (he'd usually forget about the chair anyway and wander off to the kitchen to see whether his food had been topped up, which was his default action if he forgot what he was doing or wasn't sure what to do next). He was quite sweet, though (apart from occasionally biting people, apparently just to watch them jump in surprise, and also his tendency to flatten any boxes or bags that he didn't fit into so that the other cats couldn't sit in them either), especially once he FINALLY figured out that he could in fact fit onto laps by sitting upright (he was a fairly large cat, sixteen pounds in his prime). He's been gone for eleven and a half years now; RIP Blobcat, you daft old lump.
Aww.
If only Lola could write reminders *glances at sticky notes all around my flat* *also at clocks visible from almost every angle in my flat because ADHD = time-blindness* (Time-blindness as in very poor ability to judge the passage of time, not an inability to read a clock. Do not ask me to estimate how long a task will take unless it's something I've done multiple times before and, ideally, actually timed.)
Forgetful also means you can discover something new and awesome every Day.
I'm pretty sure Lola has ADHD at this point :D
Well, if it's from, say, a turkey then it *is*a dinosaur bone.
I just love Lola, look at all the expression she makes 🥰
Ngl, that is something I would do XD
To be fair, I can barely remember what I ate yesterday let alone something I did last week.
#sames!
This is the most relatable comic you've ever posted.
