VIDEO: Gayageum: A gorgeous harp from Korea
As you may have seen, I recently posted a sample library of the Gayageum, a zither/harp instrument from Korea with a beautiful, mellow sound. Well, I've finally finished the video that goes along with those samples. Hope you enjoy it!

sounds amazing and I really enjoyed the expanded story of the whole adventure. Wish I could find both a Gayageum and free 3D printer 😉
Really nice instrument! I've dropped a few samples into my Ableton Move and it sounds great (loads of reverb!) . Once I export into Live I can replace this with the Decent Sampler version.
Indeed a beautiful sound. I get two associations from this: One is from The Matrix, and the other is (I think) a Fairlight CMI sample from the song 'Play in the Rain' by Lindsey Buckingham on his Go Insane Album.
Good luck not getting too far down that 3d printing rabbit hole! I've been on a kick of designing stands for my various controllers and making holders for weird mics... like adjustable angle clips and cord wrap for a Lom Elektrousi.
OMG, I have one of those I picked up at Goodwill a few years ago! All of my strings are broken, and all of the bridges are missing. Any chance I could pay you to print a set of bridges? And share links to some of those resources? I also tried to source string and bridges for mine, but the prices are ridiculous. I could get a decent working used instrument for a few hundred bucks, so why spend what came to be more money after adding shipping for string and bridges.
Yes, I’d be happy to send you some bridges. I’ll message you directly. :)
Fantastic Dave, love it!
This is a beautiful instrument! Thank you.
Amazing works thank you !
