Sharing another timelapse video with everyone! This time, I’d also like to give you a little peek into my creative process.

Using 3D Assets as a tool, not as a crutch.

I often use 3D assets to help me work through tricky angles and perspectives, especially with headshots. The thing is, using 3D assets can often lead me down an art style that’s completely removed from my own. So rather than relying on just straight up tracing 3D assets, I usually take the initial sketch and use it as a starting point to home in back to my own art style.

I get an immense feeling of self-fulfillment, joy and pride every time I feel I finally nailed a panel right.

For me, it’s about getting some mileage to let the creative engine really going, rather than just using it as a crutch.
