Is this the start of a life-changing romance or just another weird Tuesday at the soba shop? In earlier chapters, Shirosaki’s own flashbacks downplays Hiroshi as “average” out of disappointment to present day Hiroshi, fitting her role as a reluctant shoujo lead. Chapter 3 (minor spoiler) shifts to the old couple’s perspective, where the Magic Chime makes them think some Ghibli-style hocus-pocus is at play. Differing perspectives has always been the core element of this comic, exploring how perception shapes how we see others. Or at least thats what I am aiming for.
