Heavy Barrel!
We have one more game working on the Dragon Ninja hardware this week: Heavy Barrel. This is an Ikari Warriors clone, so prepare for going around and around over yourself.
To make life easier, if you use MiSTer you can turn around using the right analogue stick. Set the game controls like a modern game: move with the left stick, point with the right stick and use the shoulder buttons for shot and bomb.
If you don't have a dual-stick gamepad or use MiSTer, you can still rotate the character using two buttons. In that case, I recommend enabling autofire in the OSD menu to ease the controls.
Apart from the new game, some issues were reported about Dragon Ninja and have been fixed:
-Jitter around the elevator
-Music instruments in the ending scene
-Flip screen mode
Installation
-Use the update_all script and copy jtbeta.zip to games/mame if you need it
or
-Unzip the MiSTer file to the root of your SD card.

Tenemos un juego más corriendo en el hardware de Dragon Ninja esta semana: Heavy Barrel. Se trata un clon de Ikari Warriors, así que prepárate para dar vueltas y vueltas sobre ti mismo.
Para hacer la vida más fácil, si usas MiSTer, puedes dar la vuelta usando el stick analógico derecho. Configura los controles del juego como en un juego moderno: muévete con el joystick izquierdo, apunta con el derecho y usa los gatillos para disparar y bombardear.
Si no tienes un mando de doble palanca o no usas MiSTer, tienes que rotar el personaje usando dos botones. En ese caso, recomiendo habilitar el disparo automático en el menú OSD para facilitar los controles.
Además del nuevo juego, hubo parte de algunos problemas sobre Dragon Ninja y ya están solucionados:
-Temblor alrededor del ascensor
-Instrumentos musicales en la escena final
-Modo de pantalla invertida
Instalación:
-Usa el script update_all y copia jtbeta.zip a games / mame si es necesario
o
-Descomprime el archivo MiSTer en la raíz de tu tarjeta SD.

Is the analog control supposed to let you fire in the direction of the right stick? If so I can’t figure out how to make it work. The only behavior I can map to the right stick is “rotate”.
You have to press fire too. So you rotate with the stick and fire with a button. You can enable autofire so leaving the button pressed is enough.
side note: the credits screen has the names chopped off on the left hand side. appears to be the first two characters. doesn't seem to matter if you are rotated or not.

Jotego-have you ever looked at Time Soldiers? It's an early SNK game that utilizes spinner controls. It would work great with the new MiSTer addition of twin stick controls. As of now there is no practical means of playing it and it's a great game. Especially considering how old it is.
Nice title indeed and it will suit this type of control perfectly. Please let me know if you come across a PCB of that game or another one running on the same hardware

The one ending in 612 is the latest.

Seems unplayable since there is no option to rotate the screen. So on an HDMI Tv its near impossible to play
My fault. Give me 30 minutes to add the option. We just tested it over CRT and missed it.
