Multirom support
1943 core will feature rom load directly from the OSD menu. There are several versions of the game and it was worth doing it.
Bruno Silva prepared the ROM files for all different sets and saved me a ton of time. Thanks a lot!
On the sad news side, there won’t be a core release for February. This core needs more memory bandwidth than the other ones and I need to write a new ROM driver to deal with it. At least one more week of work.

I dont agree with the core loading the mame set directly. With this you cannot load different roms sets because they have different rom names inside zip.
or the core should have all the names of the files inside zip... also there are files (hacks/alternative versions) in hbmame that has same zip name than mame but different files/folders inside... not the best idea :( create roms is a one time thing and they are shared in some places
Wao thats a 1943 Kai! And loading rom directly from the OSD would be so convenient!
It's like one extra game for free!
is it not possible to use directly the romset from mame without the patching part ?
Not the current MiST/MiSTer frameworks. I am trying to negotiate a change in the firmware so we can skip the ROM generation process. It is the firmware in the microcontroller of MiST/MiSTer what loads the file and transfers it to the core inside the FPGA. So I have no direct control of it.
Take your time, i have to finish already Ghost And Goblins and 1942, both dam hard difficult games. .) thats Kai version of 1943 difficult and expensive pcb only distributed in Japan i guess.
