Herd Goliath - Late WIP (Billing cycle paused)
Hey folks!
Just wanted to show you my progress on the Herd Goliath and give you a little information.
I can safely call this version a late WIP. Most accessories and details are perfectly laid out at this point, and I will mostly be refining and polishing until it's finished. In any case, the current version is very close to the final product, so expect this almost 150mm tall baby to be finished in early July. Hope you like it!
As planned, I will pause the billing cycle for July, so no recurring payment will happen until August 1st. My next release will be an expansion to my Carnival of Chaos set. More info about those will be given by July 15th ;)
Also, as promised, I had a couple of older models presupported to complete the June reward. I will distribute them on Monday :)
Until then, I wish you all a good weekend!

I totally get the too hot to run your pc, where i live the feels like today was 104F and my house is getting up to 84F which feels like a sauna lol. Sorry to hear about the funerals! I promise you, only love from me sir.
Yea, man, summer is just the worst to be working at home, especially my place (apartment right under the roofs). My place is basically hotter than outdoors. Great in winter, terrible in summer. Thanks for the concern, man!
I believe you misread my intentions. You truly are my favorite artist on the platform and i was just concerned and sad we dont see as much of your creative masterpieces as we used to. I’m sorry if i came across as unappreciative or in anyway upset, i just thought you might have moved to another platform or started working for a gaming development company or something.
Yea, I may have read too much into what you wrote ^^ No worries, I don't ever wanna have a job again, let alone at a game dev company. But this line of work can be quite depressing and tiring at times. Though I will keep making minis for as long as I can, a couple years from now, I will start pursueing other creative endeavors. In the meantime, I'm still here ;) Just wanted to try something a little different this time around ;)
Manuel, are you shifting to other media or another platform, is there a better way to get your work, or at least see what you've got going on? The drop from 5 new sculpts a month to 3 was rough enough, especially as a day 1 supporter that has been with you since the first release; all the "bonus" content is stuff I already received in previous months, but then you started only releasing 3 new models every couple months, and now its a single model after a couple months, what's going on buddy? You know we love you, otherwise we wouldn't be here to support your work, please feel free to share what's going on... whether that's being burned out, bigger prospects elsewhere, whatever... I personally would rather know and not be in the dark. Thanks for the beautiful artwork and years of dedication.
Yo! You may have realized this model is over 140mm tall/wide, and requires a shit ton of work to be fully done and up to the standard you are used to. When I fully finish and upload this model to MMF, I'll put a $50 price tag on it. So yeah, that guy is worth 3 regular models, at the very least. What I've got going on is tons of stuff, including this super ambitious model, including several funerals, dealing with yet another terribly hot summer that makes me struggle to even turn on my computer to work, among other things. Stuff that isn't necessarily relevant to share with you here. Don't worry, making one gigantic model like that is just a one time thing. And I consider paying $6.50 to get just this one model is an absolute steal. Whenever I'm late on deliveries, which happens often, I pause my billing cycle. I do it all the time. Nobody's ever paid me on Patreon and not gotten the rewards. This model is the June/July release, and August is still a few weeks away, so there's still time. What's going on is, this one time, I've decided to make one super ambitious model, which, again, is a one time thing, that I haven't taken any proper vacation since I launched the Patreon, that working under such temperatures is super hard, and that I'm tired, is all. Your message sounds like you're complaining, telling me off or something, and I had to read it several times to understand what you actually mean, take some time to calm down, then taking extra care to make sure I don't sound like an arsehole in my reply. I hope it is the misunderstanding I now believe it to be, cos at first, I was quite pissed. Trying to make a living selling 3D printable models through Patreon/MMF is incredibly hard. The chips are already down. Financially, I'll never grow past my current state, at least on Patreon, and like most, I have to sit here and watch others make millions selling subpar products, and witness my own products perform poorly on MMF. So, yeah, there you go. That's what's going on.
