June Teaser - The Herd Goliath
Hey folks!
For June, something a little special, and quite huge ^^ I have long wanted to sculpt a special gift for a sibling, and since he's getting a 3D printer soon for his birthday, I figured now's the right time.
Finding a good, recent miniature for this creature in particular is quite tricky, and there aren't that many 3D printable alternatives for it.
This thing is MASSIVE. At least 130-140mm tall (Ratfolk for scale ^^).
It's the biggest and one of the most detailed sculpt I've made so far, and I'll probably put a pretty high price tag on it when I upload it to MMF.
As a result, it will be the only new model I'll make for the June release. To do it right, this guy will require time ^^
To make up for it, though, I will make older forgotten models available to FULL CUBROLL subscribers. I just never got around to uploading those to MMF, and they felt too high quality to be Thingiverse/Cults freebies.
That means I'll add a Mind Flayer and a Mimic Barrel to the mix ;)
Let me know what you think!

so much yes!!
Wow, it looks amazing, I expect it'll look great at around 75mm too. If I went full size I think I would have to add some 'masonry riders', either willing or unwilling participants, to that piece of building : ) On the inventory, I would say that unreleased is 'new' by any measure.
Well, that depends! If you shrink it by 50%, some details may not hold up, since I try to remain consistent in details/appendages thickness throughout all my sculpts. Like, his loin cloth is bigger, obviously, but not thicker than what you'll find on any of my smaller sculpts. 0.6-0.8mm is my go to thickness for capes/loin clothes and such, regardless of the mini. So you wanna keep that in mind ;) Also, design-wise, some elements may look out of place if you scale the stl down, like human skulls/shields and the like. Not a huge problem in and of itself, but still, you'll be able to tell it's a shrinked down version of something way bigger ^^ The "masonry riders" thing definitely came to my mind as well xD And I agree, "unreleased", or just unavailable for download anywhere still counts as new, I suppose ;)
The bigger, the better =)
Yes, absolutely! People need to be reminded of that! xD
I love it! Can't wait to print it!
Oh, thanks so much ^^ I'll try to have it fully done by mi-June. Hopefully it should be enough. I'll probably need to cut it in at least two parts, too, just to make sure people with smaller build volumes (most people, I guess) can print it without issues, and hollow out the torso to reduce resin waste and curing time... yeah, quite the thing indeed xD
