Lionfolks - April teaser - Ideation sketches
Hey folks! Here's what I'll be working on over the next few weeks. Lionfolks Paladin, Barbarian and Druid.
Nothing's set in stone, but it gives a pretty good idea of what's to come :) Hopefully the Paladin should be ready some time next week ;)
The lower tiers are getting Elephantfolks from last year.
Let me know what you think ^^

Are there any plans for more female sculpts? A few, like a few Dragonfolk could be androgynous, but I noticed the last "female" model you released was the Hobgoblin in November.
I'll make more female models if I think they'll look better or feel more relevant. In November, the Goblinoids had two female models, the Hobgoblin Warrior and Goblin Sorceress. For Lionfolks, I'll stick to male models, at least for now.
Struggling to pick which of these will be my new favourite that druid almost looks like he could be a tracker...
Thanks Kenny ^^ Thanks again for your kind message from earlier, too, btw :) Hard to tell which one I'll like best myself until they're all finished ^^ For now, it's all super sketchy. Still quite a bit of refinement is required even in the proportions, posing and composition departments, but I'm pretty enthusiastic about this upcoming set :)
Cool to a WIP this early in the process, with the tail, armor, and limbs still largely unrefined blobs. Give some insight into your process. Ever considered recording a full sculpt start to finish and uploading a time-lapse of it to youtube? Kitties looking cool! Would you consider making the mane of the barbarian bigger/wilder/more unkempt? I'm getting a "Conan" artwork vibe with "hair-blowing-in-the-wind", but the mane doesn't line up well with that. Looking forward to seeing the progress!
Hey Tim! I have considered such things in the past, but there's no real incentive to do it. Timelapses can be interesting, but recording everything, editing it, uploading it to youtube, etc. sounds quite time-consuming for something that ultimately doesn't bring you any money, since it'd be of very little interest to most people ^^' Then again, a few years from now, I might change this Patreon's formula again to integrate more art-related stuff, such as sculpting (and painting ;)) tutorials. We're definitely not there yet, though. For now, this Patreon is just for getting my STLs at a super discounted price before I upload them to webstores, like any other Patreon of this kind. I'm always happy to share anything about my process, though, so if you have questions, feel free to ask ;) As for the Barbarian's mane, yeah, it definitely needs more work and I'm ultimately aiming at what you're describing ;)
