Kenkus Vol. 2 - WIPs
Hey folks! Here's my progress on the Kenku set. Still some refinement to do on some of the compositions and silhouettes and proportions here and there, but I'm pretty happy where it's going for now ^^
Let me know what you think :D

What about an "haut de forme" hat for the bard 🤷♀️
xD! No, I know exactly what I'll do with the bard. I'll work on all remaining three Kenkus and post a WIP soon ;)
masked kenku is best kenku
Thanks buddy ^^
Kenku! So happy to see more of these guys. Is the one on the upper right a sci-fi model?? Looks like he’s holding some kind of tethered gun?
Yeah, as always, I picture Artificers as weird mad scientist tech guys ^^ Did the same with the Kobolds and Tortles. I wanted a wasteland/dieselpunk vibe for that Kenku Artificer :)
Nice! Love those Kobolds as well
Thanks ^^
I will have to seek out photos of the older 3 as I do not have those yet

I like the idea of a hoodless one, and I would think the bard would be a good one for that. Could also see some slight variations in beak size/length - or have one or more with an open beak/mouth - perhaps the Fighter in an aggressive yelling mouth pose and the bard in a relaxed singing mouth pose. Just spitballing some random thoughts
Yeah, I agree. There already are differences in beak size, but it's hardly noticeable for now, so I need to push that further :) As far as open/closed mouth, I realized the three older Kenkus all have their beaks open, so I tried to keep them all closed, just to add some variation to the final full set. The bard has his eyes and mouth closed. Anyway, we'll see how things evolve ;)
Look like they're going to be another smashing success!
Let's hope so ^^ Gotta reach that sweet 500 patrons mark ;)!
I'll 2nd the remarks from Gerret above as I have also just finished printing out the 7 Gnolls and they are going to be perfect for my D& D campaigns!
Glad they prove useful :D
Love the Theme, and certainly a variety of Kenku warriors will be great!. Hope that as you flush them out they gain a bit more "individuality" to them in regards to armor, sizing/proportions etc. But as they are now they look like 4 poses of the same figure - again, just my 2-cents worth
They do? Well, in fact I'm taking that as a compliment cos I made 4 differents bodies from scratch and tried to make them all roughly the same proportions just to make sure they're consistent with the other three, older Kenkus ^^ I only recycled the legs and some heads. No real big character design pass on any of them for now. I was thinking of designing a cool forehead/beak helmet for the swordman, and perhaps having one without hood, but I'm not sure which. The bard needs more volume and bulk overall, too. Perhaps making him slightly taller would be interesting. I'll try different things, don't worry. We're definitely not there yet ^^
Looks great so far. Definitely looking forward to these. On an unrelated note, I just bought all the gnoll models, and have printed a few already. Your support structures are outstanding, and the models are gorgeous.
Thanks man and welcome aboard :D The support structure is all the work of Stephen Farrell ;) Top notch presupport work from that guy!
I'll take them all! Now!
Thanks :D For now, they're quite lumpy, messy and sloppy though ^^ But they definitely won't take as long as the Dark Knights, that's for sure ;)
