Baby Tarasque - WIP
Hey Folks! Here's my progress on the baby Tarasque. Still needs a lot of refinement and polish but it gives a good idea ;) How tall should that mini be? I was going for 8.5mm tall

8.5mm seems really tiny, tbh. I would scale him up to about 18-22mm at shoulder height to be like a puppy.... but I also agree with Sean Abel and BoldNotBald, probably pony size.
Damn, I wrote 8.5mm. I meant cm. 85mm tall, then ^^ I guess 70-75mm tall should be enough, though.
Very nice progress, are you planning to have the carapace all the way down the back to the tail? Thought it might look better without the gap between the back and the tail. But it is a Baby so maybe it's armor hasn't fully grown yet.
Thanks :) I still haven't decided how to properly bridge that area just yet ^^ Maybe one or two additional carapace sections would do the trick ;)
love the playful energy, your sense of motion you capture is always the best part of your work. Can we get the spikes on his tail like the Artisan guilds Tarrasque, or the tail-axe like the lord of the print, so we can link them as its children?
Thanks, buddy ^^ I did put spikes on the sides of his tail, they're just really small ;) But I suppose I can try to put more and make them slightly bigger
In my opinion, yes. It's going to be a cute baby, but from a big creature. I think baby elephants

Ahah, yeah, I figured this much, but since they're supposed to be wild creatures in their natural habitat, chains wouldn't really fit. I'm pretty sure an actual chain can be printed and added to that kind of creature after the fact, though ;)
Any chance of modelling any monster' chains ?

Yeah I agree with Sean I've been looking around the internet and the DnD manual has a full grown Tarrasque at "fifty feet tall and seventy feet long, weighing hundreds of tons" so I imagine even a baby one could easily be the size of a horse. In the stat blocks I've found for one it has it at a Large size.
Yeah, I guess we read through the same material, ahah ^^ The "fifty feet tall" Tarasque doesn't really fit AG or Lord of the Print's Tarasque sizes, though. A thing this big would be absolutely oversized for tabletop, so idk..
Just love the pose, I imagine it chasing a butterfly or bird as it runs through a field! The scale is going to be tough since a tarasque ends up so big [Gargantuan] so I think that maybe it should be larger [closer to a pony size maybe]
Thanks :) The pose is roughly inspired by cows released on to grass for the first time. They're so happy they just have the silliest poses ^^ Do you think having it about the size of an average warhammer horse would be enough?
