Kobold Archer - Ideation Sketch
Hey folks! I started working on the fifth and last Kobold.
Going for something a little bit more simple this time, with a stronger focus on anatomy and drapery.

I love this guy, the pose an design are awesome!
Thanks, man! Where have you been? Don't freak me out like that ^^
hmmm... You see the "bracelets" he has in his arms and legs.... I' just throwing "mud to the wall" here but... how about a bracelet on his tail...? I love the designs you done, they are awesome.... just wondering if it would be strange for one of them like this one (a skirmisher) to have a dagger or a bracelet or something on the mid of the tail... maybe im just an idiot, and the original design is fine as it is :p
No, that's pretty relevant. I'm always open for suggestions like this, y'know ^^ I did just that on the first Kobold, why not do it again ;)? I wanted to have the Trapmaker's tail hold a dagger at some point (like a skaven gutter runner) but I gave up the idea mid-sculpt since there were too many details already ^^ I'll look into it ;)
And long stout too.......looool
This is just a sketch at the moment. His tail will have scales like the others ;)
Hi Manu, what about a scale tail as last Dragonshield kobold .
Wow, you are on fire this month. Really excellent effort!!!
Thanks ^^ I had too little inspiration for a scatter and mimic, so I figured I should just make two more Kobolds instead ;)
Oh I see! Might help to look a bit into yumis and hakamas in that case? Just a thought mind you, will love the design both ways since I am a fan of both time periods ^^
I just really liked the idea of having a toga showing just one side of the torso, ahah ^^ I think you're right about the bow, though. Making it bigger to sort of match the shape and size of a Yumi bow would be interesting to look into :D
Feeling some greek vibes and i love it!
Ahah ^^ I was going more for a slightly 19th century Japanese archer vibe, butI understand what you mean :D https://www.dia.org/sites/default/files/tms-collections-objects/F46.163-d1-2016-10-07_o2.jpg
