JUNE Teaser - The Cult of the Possessed

Hey folks!

I was very excited to finally show you the entire lineup of new miniatures you're getting in June :)

So here goes : From left to right, Cultist Henchman, Magister, and Possessed.

This time again, I am trying to stay pretty faithful to the original 1999 miniatures in terms of overall design, while making new propositions when needed and take advantage of what modern 3D sculpting and printing allow.

The Cultist Henchman is probably the less advanced at this stage as I have spent less than two days on it so far, but I'm pretty happy with it already. Hopefully not much will change on him outside of the regular cleanup passes.

The Magister was a pretty interesting lad to design. I personally don't find the official Magister miniatures very convincing, so I tried something completely different.
Combining a mask of penitence with a relaxed, almost sassy stance and have him carry a "big heap of raw iron" (:wink wink:) on his shoulder like it's a baseball bat creates a very colourful discrepancy and gives him this almost "Gangs of New York" vibe that I just love.

Besides, after re-reading through the rulebook, it so happens that the Magister isn't just the warband leader, he's also the spellcaster! Well, the official minis didn't really showcase that and it felt like a missed opportunity, so, yeah, spell effect it is ^^

(Sure, very reminiscent of the original Tetsuya Nomura illustration for Cloud Strife but I stand by that :D)

As for the Possessed, well, it's the most advanced sculpt of the three at this point. I have tweaked him quite a bit since last week, and I'm pretty happy with him now. Hopefully this one should be finished first ;)

Hope you like them! Let me know what you think ^^
