Break next week and Bugsy Metamorphosis Poll
Hi guys,
As put in the chapters, I've now completed the second volume of Apocalypse Tamer; I'll thus take a short week break to outline the third; this is especially critical since it should be the final entry in the saga and the longest of them. As such, chapter updates will resume on November 15th.
I'll also be working on compiling and editing Volume II so you may download the manuscript next week, and try to complete the commissioned Underland novella.
Also, a reminder that the first volume of Apocalypse Tamer will be taken down around November 14th (mid November); so if you're a dracolich patron and haven't downloaded the ebook yet, now is the time (you can download the PDF here)!
Otherwise, to wait until the next volume... I bring you the next metamorphosis poll: Bugsy's! Will you choose the path of the walking volcano, or that of the fossilized king?
1) Volcanipede, the Walking Volcano
The unfortunate result of a giving a volcano legs and four pairs of eyes, the Volcanipede's entire appeal can be summed up with one word: FIREPOWER. Its fire attacks are now so powerful that they can pierce through almost any defense, but they will also heal it in a pinch! Run for the sea!
- Its immensely powerful fire attacks will pierce through Resistance!
- Its strong Earth affinity will bring 'Earth' back into 'Earthquake the shit out of them'!
- Fire attacks will heal it, including its own!
2) Archeopede, the Fossilized King
The primeval ancestor of all centipedes, the Archeopede has come out of its amber prison rested and hungry! With its rock-hard armor capable of weakening even supereffective hits and the ability to fly into the air, this creature will put the fear of bugs back into birds and humans alike!
- Hard-rock armor grants damage resistance and reduces the power of supereffective hits!
- Its powerful Wind affinity allows it to summon whirlwinds and sandstorms!
- It can fly! Like a bird!

Honestly, I think the Volcanipede suits Bugsy better, but I feel the Archeopede suits the team better. They have, what, one person who can fly? A second would be good.

Awww man, two really great choices. The first is just feels like an even more awesome Bugsy turned up to max settings. Will the party still be able to ride him around? The second can offer so much mobility to the party (especially if he can carry a lot of em) and adds a great defensive element but no hands/claws… how is he supposed to keep up with his construction work? or (edit: dote on)* the children he is building cribs for?
To be fair, if he is lava how is he supposed to build anything? Wouldn't it all burst into flame near him?
The volcano evolution should synergise well with the Apollo core in a future evolution
Forgot to mention, but yeah that metamorphosis is the intermediary one between the current and the special Apollo one; it's not Bugsy's final form ;)
