HR Poll: Which training do you want?
Heya everyone, new poll!
You know the drill by now, I'm posting it now so I can outline some stuff early. We're soon moving to a new set of training/exploration arcs for Simon that focus more on mastering different avenues of power after this one, so up to you to choose which one you want first. Simon the Archmage & Throne of Night will likely wait for the next one when they make more sense, but I hope you'll enjoy those picks otherwise ;)
1) The Five Sovereigns: Having realized he needs more training and experience if he is to live up to his full potential, and seeking answers, Simon decides to spend a life studying Techniques and tactics while forming eidolon pacts. As he goes on a world tour stretching to Fablan, Uyo, and many other places, Simon realizes just how many corners of Brimir hold secrets yet undiscovered.
Includes: A big world tour with Belzemine and a handful of retainers, first close look at various locations like Muse, Uyo, or Fablan, more Cocagne/Remedia events, Technique and battle tactics practice, location of all five sovereigns, eidolon ordeals.
Unlocks: The Shogun of Terror, The Circus of Demise, The Monster Shepherd, The Sniper Must Die!
2) The Workshop of Wonders: Having seen for himself the potential of the Crafter Class, Simon decides to infiltrate the nation and hopefully find his way into their tower. As he discovers an industrialized nation unlike any he had ever seen before and catches a certain Crafter’s attention, Simon must also contend with his greatest threat yet: that cursed MUSAN SNIPER!
Includes: Deep dive into Muse and magitech, slice of life crafting focused reign, crafting recipes, information on the Crafter, new friends and allies, new mentor unlocked, that vicious cursed MUSAN SNIPER.
Unlocks: The Painted Door, ???, The Monster Shepherd, The Sniper Must Die!
3) The Prince of Thieves: Deciding to infiltrate Muse through the backdoor, recruit allies capable of unlocking Gargauth’s hoard, and neutralizing a long-term threat at the same time, Simon enslaves the Cobweb to his will as the new Prince of Spiders. With the resources of a global criminal syndicate at his command, merchants and kings alike better keep their vaults locked tight from the Overlord of Crime…
Includes: Prince of Spiders Simon, exploration of the Weavers (including Chrom Cruak), Silk/Velvet romance, new techs & Libromancy unlock, Vouivre shenanigans, Rogue Crestone potential acquisition, intel on Gargauth’s hoard, the Genie, and other treasures.
Unlocks: The Circus of Demise, The Shogun of Terror, The Bottled Wish, The Berwick Heist, The Book of the Damned, The Sniper Must Die!, ???

I truly hope we can do all the choices we’ve seen so far, there are supposed to be 100 reigns after all…
We gotta go for The Five Sovereigns after the last chapter reveal now guys.
Is The Crafter's Tower no longer a reign? Is Simon strong enough to skip directly to the Redux reign?
Lmao, I can already tell that no matter what, the sniper will be ending the next reign.
I wish we could vote for something like the resign after next. If the current reign goes a certain way, or something is alluded to the choices (vampire reign , remedia reign) aren’t really much of a choice. With how much the crafter was mentioned this reign it was pretty much a given that what people would vote on.
When he finally kills that DAMNED MUSAN SNIPER I wonder what title he will get. You just know his father will unironically be so proud of him so he has to grant him a good title. "This is the xxth of your 100 reigns. You have been granted the title of 'The Son I always wanted ' You finally killed that bastard. You can now compel people who see you as a father figure to follow your orders."
"I recall your father had a similar plan to merge demons with goblinoids. We can pick up where he left off.” “My brother perished protecting her from a goblinoid ambush many years ago,” Cassandra said. “She was very sad about it.” Balzam murdered Hector 100%.
Musan Sniper is just that Samurai Jack episode 1:1.
The 5S or TWoW reigns can happen in either order but if he doesn't gain the Crafter crestone the first time (which seems likely) he should take over the Cobweb in the PoT reign to steal it. The easiest way to get into Gargauth's chest of worlds is to romance Vouivre since she'll show it off as part of trying to court Simon. I personally think the skeleton key perk is a trap and we'll have a repeat of Victor and his 32 new eyes. The Crafter is just to op to pass up. We know of one thing so far that has persisted multiple reigns and that's the Goat fish's book that the Curator retrieved. Simon could create artifacts that survive into the next reign, fix the demon crestones he gave to his bodyguards, create proper Overlord vassal classes, and he could create an artifact that protects his soul from the influence of the other Overlords. P.S.: Everyone seems to think the Musan Sniper is going to be a babe and maybe even a love interest. Personally I think they're going to be an awakend construct the Crafter made or an ancient one they repaired. The Sniper has stopped every unauthorized attempt to get into the Crafter's tower, so if it is one person and not a team or automated defenses then they have to be golem or something. They can still be hot but anime has probably spoiled/ruined us in that regard.
I voted 5 sovereigns, but i could see how an interest in Musan could push Simon to want to see other nations firsthand and find out their secrets as well
Boys, we need some dragon wife redemption
The workshop sounds really good...but i think enslaving the cobweb would allow Simon to finally leqrn how to really kill them off each reign
I think. It will be easier for Simon to infiltrate crafter tower if he return more to the grey shade. Just look at him he didn't know what he done wrong. He need to return a little from tyrany cliff before trying to pretend he is not overlord...
Who’s going to bet the sniper is a woman?
Sigh...we can do the crafter reign whenever im more interested in 5 sovereigns or prince of thieves for training. If all 3 unlock the sniper must die i have a feeling how they'll end anyway
I think Five Sovereigns just makes more sense to me, obviously Crafting is being pushed hard narratively atm but I mean come on how many reigns are we going to go with this wasted Summoner Devour slot?
Clearly the sniper must die, as all roads lead there
Time for a much needed vacation around the world 5 sovereigns arc is my vote
Simon used whole devour slot to be able to summon two eidolons at once and haven't contracted a single one since then. It's getting ridiculous.
Yup. It's unfortunate. Maybe a Title will help at some point. Either relating to DC Slots or making Dark Eidolons/Aspices more worth it.
Damn I want to get to gargauth vault finally
I don't really understand the point of the Craftsman arc, considering he won't be able to assemble those Titans in just a couple of days, so what's the point of going there? Besides, Void wrote in Discord that there won't be any more infiltration arcs except for Paladin and Illusion. I guess I'm just disappointed that we got another short arc, even though it's about time we started having longer arcs, especially when the arc is this good.
Short arc? Lmfao. You do realized that this is an upgraded crafter reign right? Quote from Void: "Simon's just too OP for the original arc XD" Q: Can you tell us how it might have gone? Void's answer: Simon would have gotten shot and died. The previous reign was: 4) The Crafter’s Tower: Having learned of the devices Gargauth left to his children and not feeling ready to return to Telluria or Endymion yet, Simon travels to Muse to explore the world of crafting. As he discovers an industrialized nation unlike any he had ever seen and catches a certain Crafter’s attention, Simon may also confront his greatest threat yet: that cursed MUSAN SNIPER! Includes: First view of Muse and magitech, slice of life crafting focused reign, crafting recipes (including golems and airships), information on the Crafter, new friends and allies, new mentor unlock, that damn MUSAN SNIPER. Length: Medium to Long. Unlocks: The Painted Door, The Workshop of Wonders.
I mean it's gotta be workshop, gargauth was right an overlord with the right crafter perks could cover the world in endless tides of steel and miasma
It still feels like his mastery of techniques is lacking and he's admitted his broad but not deep weakness so a nice tour of the unexplored regions and some time chilling on a mountain with the Monk seem like a nice break from dire conquest. Let that sniper try his nonsense when Simon can Ace Ventura his bullets.
The five sovereigns. Anything to get more Remedia content
Everyone is seeking the crafter but I think it will be a few tries before we can get their crestone. IMO we need to capitalize on the slot we already spent to improve summoning ability, but unlocking libromancy somehow would likely be an entire new branch of power improvement too, which has been on the table for a while (I’m not precisely sure how we’d pull it off as easily as votes imply though)
Even if we don't get the crestone it will be a breath of fresh air to get new friends/allies/mentor for Simon in my opinion.
Prince of Thieves since we can have our cake and eat it too!
This was a hard vote for me. I seriously want prince of thieves Simon made a awesome criminal mastermind but lets me real creafter Simon will be legendary
Is there going to be prince of thieves in the next poll as well cause I really wanna see that one
Ooohhhh. I get it now. He's doing the vote early because he trying to get the slice of life aspects down. He had trouble writing that with Sanctuary right?
I think Void really wants to write Workshop of Wonders guys
I think either Crafter or Five Sovereigns makes the most sense. Personally, I'd like to see Five Sovereigns, given it let's Simon understand more of the world and what threats he still has to plan for. Like, up until now we didn't even know we needed to plan for the Golden Champions; who knows what other issues of a similar proportion are still out there?
Why? Why do people insist on going somewhere Simon is just going to be killed? He needs training! He needs a very, very long training reign! He NEEDS the five sovereigns reign!
The Crafter reign is a slice of life with new friends and a mentor (the crafter probably), why would he be killed? It is not a very deep training reign like 5 sovereigns but a nice one.
Love how all options lead to The Sniper Must Die!. A fixed point in the timeline it is.
I'm voting for Prince of Spiders.
holly molly, it seems the greater share of this fanbase are simple men: they see the description stating "that cursed MUSAN SNIPER must die!" they hit like immediately. and here i was hoping it would be the choice for badass rocky/kill bill training with crazy monks. But oh boy, any option with skill to get that cursed musan sniper out of the picture is a win!
Dang, I feel alone on prioritizing the Rogue Crestone. The readership at large saw the shiny toys last reign and forgot how much survivability that Crestone adds to Simon's build. Not to mention the fact that he'll need it for the Chest later on. The right play is to go prince of thieves, but it doesn't look like that's happening sadly.
Lmfao, there are at most 3 previous reigns that Skeleton Key would be useful and by then the situation is FUBAR. If Void want to kill Simon, he will find a way to bypass skeleton key anyway. In Prince of Thieves, it is literally said he is finding crew to infiltrate Gargauth's Hoard anyway. Stone Muse: Berserker hug stopped teleport. Season of the Minotaur: Chose to fight Elf Conspiracy: Rekt by stasis law. Laws affect everyone anyway. Mask of the Jester King: Rekt by mana sword Church of star: Skeleton key might have allow him to teleport into Euphemia lmfao Cocagne: Anchor prevent skeleton key teleport Overlord Of Crime: Elios will hunt him down easy. Vouvire: Skeleton key might allow him to escape but shit gone FUBAR and he will be hunted down by Endymion as a traitor. Sanctuary: Louis lmfao Lux Vult: Escape maiden and then what? Keep running? Unicorn: Oracle telecatcher lmfao World of Ruin: Got rekt by 4 god judgement in the middle of clash.
Could wr perhapse get a double reign because one of the reigns is cut short really fast? I fear the longer reigns have becomepredictable and the early chapters had a very specific charm because simons reign could end at any point. Since the Crafter reign will win, maybe ahve his 1st reign end very early to the sniper again somehow and then it continues right off in a 2nd reign where the tries to achieve the exact same goals again
These are all pretty cool but I really want five sov
Hey so what is the painted door locked reign
But keep in mind romance with Silk/Velvet so threesome potential...
I don’t think the five sovereign reign will be selected until it feels right and we won’t get that until there is more expansion on their lore, and i don’t we will get that until we meet the black tortoise, they were described as the most friendly, honestly it is a bit weird we haven’t seen them yet because they are in the shifters land right, that is the north most point and that is where they should be according to the lore
All great choices and I really want that Crafter Reign but I passed too many times on the Five Sovereigns, I would like Simon to have a long life of mastering Techniques
I prefer Five Sovereigns, but it does make a bit less sense than Crafter route.
Five Sovereigns sounds most interesting, but I voted for Workshop since it seems like the most natural segue from the current arc. It would be especially cool if there were a reason for him to grind like, level 30 Crafter for a specific skill rather than just eating one of the starting options.
When did eveyone decide that the sniper is a hot woman. People in the comments seem very sure for some reason
You know that Musan Sniper is an S-Tier threat when each reign unlocks wants to murder bro
Fr
So is it just me or does the Sovereigns sound like the only reign that really focuses on training? Like the others seem to be leaning more towards getting more shit instead of mastering what he already has
No, it's probably because the wandering bit means more time on anything and everything. More Freedom to experiment with things and practicing them on Eidolons.
I vote TWoW, a crafting/slice of life reign is good for Simon after all the warcrimes this reign. Plus new characters, maybe a new love interest, and info on the sniper.
IT IS TIME!! Time to become the full master of all. Our build will pop off even more with the best equipment possible. We have inventory to make sure Simon can utilize tools to the best of his ability, armaster to have techniques for all different sorts of weapons, and everything he can do with having a third strength comparable to magic and physical combat.
Also idk about Crafter stone, our Reigns are like one year long so there's only so much Simon can get out of Crafting, even with entire Empire at his disposal.
Simon seems to be heading out solo or with only a Party's worth of people for now. Crafter has to have something related to reduced material or enhanced effects that make do with less resources that be worth it in this case.
Oh man i really want a five sovereigns arc but the draw of the crafter.............
Probably could focus on either after the other's conclusion. I'm interested in going on a bit of a wander after Warlords.
Never fails. I always pick the least favorite lol. I wanted to ask Void! Weren't we meant to see his sister's skeletons in the closet in this current arc? We haven't had anything daming from the family yet. Pretty wholesome.
The skeleton might be her selective empathy? We knew she cared for her family and loved ones, but now know she is also entirely capable of laying waste to towns and creating terrifying monsters for war. I’m betting on at least another 5ish chapters so Void can outline out the next arc, so we could get something else by then.
I voted Five Sovereigns last time, so I'd be happy to get that, but Workshop of Wonders is basically set up as next reign already. It would be really weird if Simon suddenly decided he gotta catch them all after the amount of crafting talk we just had.
Think of it as going on a nice long journey after all the warmongering and conquest. Exploration. Crafting, Eidolons, Ur-Dragon perhaps.
I hope Simon actually gets training and is able to stay away from the reign-related stuff for awhile. I'm going with Option 1 because I want to learn more about the other lands/areas.
I don’t think we need to worry about the Night Throne or the Archmage, if every reign leads to the sniper must die, then THE SNIPER! MUST!! DIE!!!!!!
Reigns #1 and #2 have "will be cut short by Sniper" written all over them. Reign #3 seems boring af. Idk
He said he NEEDS it... Also I want to see Muse and slice of life Simon shouldn't be bad...
Musan sniper is a love interest. I am sure.
💀
I know the prince of thieves is less popular but I really want some threads to close around gargauths hoard
I'm sad it's polling so badly. Everyone is blinded by the shiny new toys haha. I'd argue that the Rogue Crestone is more important to Simon than Crafter.
I feel like Simon could really use the relaxing world traveling reign. The guy has been speed running warcrimes at a rate that would impress the Viltrumites. Let him get some time to interact with the civilians of the world maybe it will make him more hesitant to condemn them to mass slaughter in the future.
Dark eidolon stuff is so creepy. I want some hot sniper v simon action.
There's no way the sniper isn't an absolute baddie
I want the prince of thieves but i feel like we need both sovereign and crafting knowledge before we end the cobweb for good. Lets go with crafter
I feel like the painted door is something related to dimensionalism.
I have a feeling that the sniper must die. I’m torn between the Workshop of Wonder and Prince of Thieves. Although, after seeing the champions and stubbornness of Muse, I think it’s time Simon learns some more crafting recipes (especially golem/airship improvements).
Tough choice between crafter and eidolons. I think Five Sovereigns would be more useful at the moment, since I doubt Simon will manage get Crafter class in workshop reign.
ARISE! PRINCE OF THIEVES
I really like the idea of the workshop, but I think the five sovereigns arc has been long overdue. I think Simon should definitely finish both in whatever order before taking care of the pesky Cobweb for good (maybe), and tackling the hoard.
We have an open DC slot. We can expand on the Journey Simon's going on by Crafter, Sovereigns, whatever the hell The Painted Door is. Archmage perhaps, or blindsided with Throne then.
THAT SNIPER MUST DIE PLUS ??? PLUS MONSTER SHEPHARD PLUS CRAFTER ?
I think the five sovereigns first to get his current skills to a good level, so that when we go the crafter route next he'll be ready to go all in on crafting
Simon being the Prince of spider is some devious work
Crafter, 3 consecutive chapter of I must consume the crafter crestone.
i want to see a more ‘relaxed’ relaxed reign and i really want to see the ??? And the sniper must die! so i really want to see the workplace of wonder
Any of them besides the workshop of wonders 🙏🏿
How else are we going to ensure that that damned MUSAN SNIPER rots forever in Gourmand's belly?
I so, so, so, SO BADLY want the Five Sovereigns arc to finally happen. That being said, this arc is very clearly leading more cleanly towards Workshop of Wonders, so that has my vote for now.
I feel like that reign needs tk happen after Simon meets the black tortoise of the north in some natural way , because i don’t think we know where it is but it has got to be in telriuna, because that is the only place that makes sense on the map lore wise
All good reign choices… always giving us a hard time picking void, don t think we re not noticing!
Let’s get that damned sniper!!
Happy with anything but prince of thieves. Hoping for a "good" person arc
Oh shit, a poll, now? Simon's beach vacation is gonna get nuked i guess Anyway... hard choice between the eidolon/remedia reign and the crafter reign. I really want that world tour, but the current arc more naturally leads to crafter... but simon really needs more eidolons. Hard choices this time!
I dont think so. Im guessing he released this one early since these reigns have new settings and characters that need to be fleshed out
