New Reign Poll: Which Power do you crave?

As promised, here's the new reign poll. Nearly all options are open Overlord reigns but I'm unsure about their length (except for the Hoard of Gargauth, which is sure to be short) so instead you know which power-up Simon will pursue ;) as always, the poll will conclude when the current arc does.

Lux Vult: Realizing that Endymion needs an Overlord to keep the peace, Simon forms a difficult compromise with Euphemia. As the Fourth Overlord joins his father’s widow in exchange for a certain Crestone to consume, the House of Magnos avoids a costly civil war and can look forward to a prosperous future… if its rulers can survive each other, that is.

As usual I seem to be part of the minority when voting, maybe I’m just not horny enough smh That aside, personally I can see any of them aside from treasure horde and “Step Mum help I’m the overlord” being viable. We’re arriving at benevolent tyrant (or overlord heh) Simon, whether he decides to do that via his sister and psychotic brother, the shifters who he’s seen are able to have actual peace, or the supposed Hero’s any of them seem like a fit. My vote was for warlords but.. well that’s not happening clearly.

Lux Vulture for the summoner creststone and Norbelle. I like the ida of the warlords arc coming after, it will be so satisfying when he has their intel and starts using her powers out of nowhere.

I’m genuinely surprised so many people want the unicorn route. He can only use prayers while not his class outfit. The summoner route or the beast route seems so much more beneficial. I also wanna just learn more about the genie and maybe he can get more info on that.

Got to be honest the only way we get anything other then the first option is if literally everyone else settles and rallies behind another one. The second that option hit the table this vote became a formality more then likely.
Why do people like this one so much? If anything, it's actually the last option I would choose from here.
I find marrying Euphemia to sorta gross me out - maybe she doesn't anymore, but at one point in the current timeline she really did love his father. It's giving me incest vibes. I also think it's the wrong moment for more romance after finally getting with Eole - our boy needs to process. On the other hand, both the Paladin and Overlord class will hate it, so much, when they team up. Looking forward to the title he gets from that.
I would like everyone to remember Carbuncle. We still don’t know if that contract will persist between reigns! If it does, Simon making any more eidolon contracts would consign more critters to be twisted by the dark. Vote Unicorn Overlord!

As usual when it comes to options that I'm torn on, I will type out my preferences and reasonings for each. From less to most favored; But Tl;Dr? Unicorn Overlord because Lux feels too much like jumping into the deep end too early. (think Cocagne Affair) The Beast King: I think I got my fill of Shifters last reign and idk what ‘Perfect Shapeshifting’ even means… And there's nothing stopping Simon from double dipping and doing this while also ruling Endymion so… Also loses points for the harem. Between Anna, Eole, Remedia, and possibly Euphemia? My poor boy already got his hands full. The Hoard of Gargauth: Still not appealing enough to go for, but I’m not that opposed anymore for the sheer quantity of items Simon would get, especially the Abyssal Chronicle. Maybe later if we can knock it out in one reign but Simon as way to much going on right now Land of the Warlords: One word: Lauriane. Oh and another Anna marriage but mostly Lauriane. In the background for too long. Lost by virtue for its conflict with Simon's wish for a more peaceful world sooooo… Lux Vul: Finally, My Milf Hunter Simon dream comes to the forefront. A lot going on in this one, between Euphemia mentorship, Shabram, and very gleeful Norbelle, along with the Summoner Crestone and Eidolons this one is an ok pick in my book…. Except I REALLY would have preferred doing KingMaker before the Euphemia marriage… It just feels like the Cocagne Affair all over again and I really don't want to do something like this again too early… Unicorn Overlord: Man I am all over this. Alphonse friendship, adventure party ft. The Overlord, Belzemine reunion with a friend, Open Overlord Simon trying to convince everyone that he's not a Bad Guy really! Shame about no Kingmaker, would have been a nice transition to Lux but eeh, but I’m feeling Unicorn more right now. (Wouldn't be apposed to Lux wining though... Fly high Milf Hunter Simon)
Its too soon for War Party, and Chest of Garguath. White Unicorn comes out of the blue. I like the Beast King Acquisition, but it still feels a bit early after Vouvire Delena Est
On one hand I think the unicorn is best cause they're still the faction we have the least internal knowledge about. We only really know the paladin and that the Oracle is hiding stuff from them. On the other hand, Simon becoming Thalas' stepdad has moderately peaked my interest.

I think Land of Warlords will pay the most dividends, the sooner Simon start learning techniques the better he will be able to close the gap and stand up to the likes of Louis, Dasen and Euphemia. One of his "weaknesses" right now is that he isnt that strong in a physical confrontation were he doesnt dominate his oponent through superior stats, he would have a hard time fighting a peer oponent without his buffs/debuffs and elemental magic.

Does anyone have any ideas about what Mardok's ultimate plan might be? Or maybe it makes more sense to talk about the comet itself rather than Mardok. It reminds me a bit of the Lich from Adventure Time. We'll have to stop that comet from hitting the planet somehow. Although this seems relatively simple compared to stopping a falling moon.
Dunno about Mardok but an excellent thing would be for Simon to purge the crestone to remove the 3 watchers and make it truly his.
As much as I wanna see Simon's beast form, cause it would definitely be some wild devil/demon form, I think we need an official Simon Overlord reign.

Narratively 1 & 2 make the most sense following his vacation and Shabrams clear dissapointment of his absence. He also hasn't tried to openly rule as Overlord in a long time and he's strong enough now that it's not an immediate death sentence. Of the two, 1 is more interesting imo but I do want to learn more about Lauriane. Beast king is also very interesting imo but that can come in a later reign. I'm very interested in his true form.
Damn those are all extremely interesting... Still Unicorn Overlord is my choice, in the hopes that in the secret reign unlocked Simon will actually start getting power ups not exclusively related to doing atrocities

While beast King and Land of Warlords do sound interesting, an evil run is the worst thing Simon can do at the moment and would immediately set back his progress from his current life. And Hoard simply makes more sense later on, after consuming the rogue Creatine. Lux Vult or Unicorn overlord are simply the most logical paths forward.
Bro Louis is getting bitched Lux Vult seems like no brainer continuation of this arc(both Eidolon stuff and kingdom building stuff) which is also why it is at #1. I have to say I like these choices much more than previous ones. Also, wonder if there is any chance that we will be offered Adventurer stone before this reign ends. Probably not.
Beast king having a warning about harem elements is actually funny when I went through the options a second time. All these choices are awesome.
I mean, this is a harem story... the current reign literally has Simon living together with two beauties absolutely loyal to him... and whether sex happens or not isn't that relevant as it won't be described unlike how it was in Blood and Fur (evil stepmom scenes were a blast). A significant part of the reason men like harems is the fulfillment of the desire to be desirable to women and popular with them. Most harem anime stories don't have any sex or even kissing, or an actual harem ending. You just enjoy self-inserting as a guy who has women chasing him, because it's so painfully rare for a guy to experience being really attractive to women just by existing and not putting a whole lot of effort...
I'm honestly happy with either Lux Vult or Unicorn Overlord, since Simon's motivation is to make a better world now. I voted for Unicorn, because Euphemia seems a bit too much of a "build a less evil, highly theocratic future" person to me, while Unicorn route looks like a "build a better future for the little guy" one, but I'm fine with either. Also, breaking news, people on the internet are a bit too horny at times.

These are all good options, how can we possibly choose. Ok, well my guess is that Euphemia political marriage wins most votes. Still want to do Gargauth's Hoard and Unicorn Overlord as well as Lux Vult.
I feel like the arcs are arranged in the perfect order. 1. Lux Vult: Simon tries the idealistic approach of the Sanctuary. This ends in a crushing failure and a lot of betrayals. 2. Land of the Warlords: Disappointed by the Church Party, Simon tries the opposite approach. A bloodbath ensues. 3. Unicorn Overlord: Fed up with his family, Simon turns to the Paladin. Gets stabbed with Mana Sword anyway. 4. The Beast King: We learn a lot about Vouivre and the Chest of Worlds. 5. The Hoard of Gargauth: Having gained a lot of levels and knowledge, Simon tries to conquer the ominous dungeon. 6. ???: If he manages to find something interesting in the Chest of Worlds, maybe the time will come for him to meet the Crafter. Maybe along the way he'll finally get fed up with the Cobweb and decide to put an end to them once and for all.
Like usual with the reigns, I think by the time the next one ends half of the others won't be relevant anymore. Many potential reigns from the polls were just forgotten, like Lady in Crimson or that one about him traveling to the ruined post apocalyptic future. We need to understand that some reigns are mutually exclusive. Maybe Void should add it to the info for the polls — which reigns may reappear, and which won't. If, for example, we knew that Lux Vult would reappear, but Unicorn wouldn't, then the latter would've won the poll.
If you think about it, Euphemia is a very tragic character. Getting seduced by literally the worst human in history and married to him since she's only in mid teens. I bet he used the heck out of his past reign knowledge to bang her, probably using some saint persona (considering her role, she was probably very righteous and kind). Then wait until it hit her that the man she chose is a monster, and staying with him is the only way to keep relative world peace. Well, she was probably also influenced by his evilness and became a bitch as a result, too.

Damn it. All of these are difficult choices. For Lux Vult, we get to lean a bit into Summoning and Edits. For Warlords, I finally get to see Simon's custom Crestone at last! For the Unicorn, we learn more about the Paladin and confusing all of them in general; as well learning more about what's going on with the Light Megalith. The Beast King offers what Perks the Crestone has, including Simon "True Form." And then the Horde. In all honesty it's the least compelling option to me. We find the Abyssal Chronicle and whatever else is in there and probably die in the process. Still, I'd be remiss in saying that Simon couldn't hold on to it in his Inventory unlike everything else.
I feel like people taking Unicorn Overlord should heed the warning of potentially becoming mana-sword-kebab'd Losing more reigns against the same nonsense would suck so bad
True, but it wouldn't be the Goddess Blessed one. Funnily enough, that one would be all the way across with Louis. All they have in Lore is lesser replicas, very powerful against the Overlord and able to kill him, but not end the loop and spend the next.

One of the hardest choices so far. I want the first for Euphemia, we have barely seen her. We haven't seen a lot of Lauriane, and deeper insight into Louis would be interesting too. But Unicorn overlord is so interesting too, Alphonse could become Simon's first bro which would make next reigns more tragic.

I am torn between Unicorn, Lux Vult, and Hoard I want to see more of euphemia and how she and her party fits into all of this, but aligning himself with one of the few righteous people and finding out more about the light and divine also intrigues me.
Choose Lux Vult, together we'll see how an overlord tries to create a sanctuary. It has Summoner and the Church, and most importantly: Thalas bullying.
I'm leaning towards personal power(#2 and #3, maybe 4) than 1, but I'm still curious about it. I am most curious about the skeletons in Lauriane's closet. I was also considering holding my vote til right before the poll closes

Simon have a problem with powering up his allies. White unicorn can give people XP booster, related to Overlord lvl. I thing its time for Simon to use this power for his retainers.

It's impressive that it's the third time in a row that our choices of reings corroborate. Though I want Lux Vult, because today's chapter opened the idea of creating a sanctuary from Edmynion and only in that reings that's possible. Plus Shabram deserves kudos for her loyalty, and an exploration of the Summoner and the church is a sweet bonus. And for the cherry on top, the bullying of Thalas, that part is always fun.

Lux Vult or Unicorn Overlord both seem like potentially natural follow ups to this reign. Land of Warlords and the Hoard could possibly be pulled off... but there would be better segways. Beast King feels like a misstep to me, based on this current reign. I voted Lux.
