General Update: Slight Schedule Change & Christmas Break dates
Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I posted a general update; in fact, the patreon has officially more than tripled since then after Hundred Reigns hit Royal Road (I had 441 paying patreon when I posted it, and now the number has reached 1351 as I write these lines). It's a little surreal when I read this, especially since there's now more people subscribing to my Patreon than when I was writing both the Perfect Run and Vainqueur, my previous heavy hitters.
I really want to thank you all for your support. You're awesome, and it means the world to me.
But well... I'll need to adapt my schedule quite a bit according to these big changes. I'm currently producing 7 chapters per week total, five of Hundred Reigns and two of Board & Conquest, but for those who have recently joined and don't know about it, I'm also working as narrative designer and assistant director for the Sony-sponsored video game adaptation of my Perfect Run novel, and I'm also writing the script of its webtoon adaptation.
That takes a lot of time.
I'm starting to physically feel the toll this schedule takes. Yesterday was a fifteen hours work day combining writing + TPR work, and by the end I was so exhausted I could hardly think straight.
It would be alright if I only had to focus on writing, but my work on the Perfect Run takes a lot longer than expected (reunions spill over writing time to ensure we keep a coherent vision on the game, complex scripting work, TPR Webtoon oversight...) and it's getting more intense as the year draws to a close. I need a day off per week.
At this point, there are literally fifteen times more people subscribing to the Overlord/Hundred Reigns tier than the Board & Conquest one, and that continues to climb. I would rather keep that momentum going by focusing more on Hundred Reigns.
So for now, I'm going to limit Board & Conquest posts to once per week on Saturday until things die down a bit.
It's not something I do lightly and I hope to return to a two chapters a week for Board & Conquest once things calm down a bit in 2026, but I can tell I'm going to hit a wall if this continues and I would rather keep the momentum I have with HR.
Otherwise, as usual, I'll be taking a holiday break from December 24th to the 1st of January 2026, since I'll be celebrating Christmas / New Year with friends and family and won't be able to write much during that time. I'll see if I can write at least one or two chaps during that period but no promises.
So yeah, that will be the schedule until the end of 2026 at least. In any case, I hope you'll enjoy both the Hundred Reigns and the Fourth Incursion for those reading B&C, and I will see you on the next chaps.

Well take time for yourself. As much as I hate to say it, I think we all would still be happy if you reduced the release to three times a week permanently for Hundred. You already provide such high quality for the chapters, that even at 3/week it’s incredible valuable patreon membership compared to other patreon. But maybe yeah pause on board or reduce to once a week. You need to take care of your health first.
You’re honestly an inspiration to us all and no one can complain you aren’t putting in enough effort. Can’t wait to see Perfect Run as a game!

Take 2 days off ! 4 HR and 1 B&C chaps a week are perfectly fine IMHO Also, time loops for the win :D
While I love the sheer volume being put out, whatever helps you maintain quality and not crash and burn should be the absolute #1 priority. Stay safe and stay sane!
6 chapters a week is still an incredible writing pace. Do not burn yourself out.
Void I'm gonna be real with you chief if you keep the quality of the characters and stories as high as it is you'll probably keep growing. In complete honesty I want this story in Manga form hell I want larian studios to this ip up and turn it into a full on rpg. There is INSANE potential here on premise alone and the execution has been leaving nothing but an appetite for more. While I sincerely love board and conquest it will just never have the kind of mainstream appeal I think hundred reigns does.

U could also write less THR chapters, i mean, i prefer that u rest more and make chapters with more quality because of that

Frankly I'm shocked you managed to keep this schedule up for so long. Take a break mate, you deserve it. Also, congrats on those numbers! Kinda insane how popular Hundred Reigns is. It's great, but so is the rest of your stuff, so kinda suprised how much better it's doing than everything else.

I would recommend cutting back the expected number of Hundred Reigns chapters by one a week as well. And if you're feeling inspired, write as usual and shore up a backlog for a rainy day. This kind of juggling makes it extremely difficult to sense impending burnout until it's too late, and having one extra day you can spend catching your breath will make it easier to gauge how you're holding up.

Take care of yourself first and foremost voidy, especially over such a hectic time like the holiday. Also what can I say it seems like we love time looping magnificent bastards with a heart of gold. Though Simon is slowly building himself up to that magnificent bastard title as opposed to Ryan who owns it.
I love both B&C and Hundred Reigns. Go with whatever sustainable pace you can handle. Please take care of yourself, and enjoy your holiday season!

Sounds good Void, I remember something similar happening with the perfect run too. Near-daily chapters has been amazing!! But well above the standard, I don't know how you're so prolific!

I massively support this honestly. I voted for hundred reigns over the other options and have never gotten into board and conquest
u can even lower hundred reigns chapters yk, if u think it'll help u avoid burn out...
