Hey Dungeons and Daddies listeners -
Freddie here! The movie Matt and I directed a few years back called We're All Gonna Die, starring Ashly Burch (Mythic Quest, Mark Likely) and Jordan Rodrigues (Dance Academy, Lady Bird) and featuring Beth May (writer, poet, "Ron," etc.) is in theaters this weekend! This movie premiered at SXSW last year and now we're doing an independent theatrical run before putting it on the ol' digital download platforms.

We're getting into these theaters the old fashioned way - by cutting deals directly with independent theaters and theater chains around the country. Theaters need flexibility to program a movie like ours, and we already have additional locations confirmed for next week in other parts of the country. But the most helpful thing has been having folks who are interested contacting and tagging their local independent theaters on social media (we've brought on numerous additional theaters this way).
These smaller theaters program and serve their local communities in ways that the megaplexes don't, so them knowing that there are people in their vicinity interested in a movie has been a massive help in getting us programmed.
In any case, stay tuned, we'll be updating our theaters on the website as things develop, and of course we will eventually put the thing on digital platforms where it'll compete with Bluey and Grey's Anatomy.

I'll be looking into contacting local theaters, but if y'all have plans for the north suburbs of Dallas, you might actually get quite a few tickets sold and I'd be willing to advertise in my local circles. McKinney, Frisco, Prosper, Plano, Allen. Anyone up here wouldn't be willing to drive through actual Dallas for a movie (live show, absolutely; movie, probably not haha) but you have enough population and money in the northern suburbs to make it a good option. If not though, I'll be ready to stream it! I'm excited either way. Thank y'all for all your amazing, hilarious content. You make the Patreon worth the money, for sure 💕

Just watched this movie last night in GR, Michigan. Our theater was cheering, laughing, and crying. A must see film - masterfully done. (SPOILERS) I lost my sister to a car accident nearly two decades ago and my BIL to suicide 2 years ago, this film really touched me with its honest depiction of grief and how we crawl our way through the dirt to find each other through it. Would love a physical copy one day 💕

Ugh the pandemic wiped out the 2 arthouse theaters in my city. There isnt another one for 4 hours. Is there any point in trying the bigger theaters or nah?

When my wife and I got home from seeing the movie, I flexed my calves at her sexily, and somehow it worked? Great date movie for sure.
It was SO GOOD!!! I cried twice. Once from the feels. Once from the pride of seeing how far you've all come in the nearly 20 years I've followed your careers from HAWP and pre-VGHS. It was heartbreaking and sweet. 12/10, I can't wait to buy it

I finally read this post a couple of hours before the one screening here in Cincinnati. I immediately bought a ticket and am now blowing off an Oscar Shorts screening and abandoning my wife at the Over-The-Rhine International Film Festival. It’s important to re-evaluate your priorities on the fly when you can.
Looks like no theaters near me will be showing it. Will you guys offer a downloadable version I can buy so I can still see it?

Will it come to the UK? I really hope so. We have a venue that we would be happy to screen it at. We also have links to 2 of the 3 biggest cinema chains in the UK, as well as many of the other more independent venues.
In Indianapolis there are a couple indie theaters that would be fun to play it in. The Kan-Kan or The Living Room would be great places to show this. The KanKan regularly hosts greg sestero and The Room showings. I think you'd all want to share silver screens with such juggernauts

It’s such a great movie (saw it when Freddie and Matt streamed it in the middle of the afternoon just soon after it was finished. Sooooo sooo glad it was so well received at NXNW! Deservedly so. You worked so hard on it. People who are close enough to these theaters are going to lose their minds when they see it in halls packed with Daddies fans.
