World of Secrets: Development Update #34

Greetings, Seekers of Secrets,

Version 0.6.6 is coming very soon. With 20+ animations and over 500 new renders, here's what to expect:

Full Dialogue Revision

Every dialogue line from the beginning to the end of the game has been fully revised. The story hasn't changed, but the way it's told has. Awkward phrasing, filler lines, rough translations — all gone. All translations have been redone from scratch with proper care. From 0.6.6 onward, the dialogue feels like it was written in English, not translated into it. A special thanks to our proofreader and to the World of Secrets community whose feedback guided us through this process — this level of revision wouldn't have been possible without you.

New Mini-Games

Two new mini-games have been added, including a custom-designed rhythm game featuring an original Rock the Rim track. Playing them is completely optional — you won't miss any main story content if you skip them.

But if you do play, here's how it works:

Difficulty:

  • Easy — 6 Lives, Slow Speed, Wide Timing

  • Normal — 5 Lives, Normal Speed, Standard Timing

  • Hard — 4 Lives, Fast Speed, Strict Timing

Duration:

  • Short (1 min) — Quick Session

  • Medium (2 min) — Balanced Experience

  • Long (3 min) — Full Experience

Rewards: Your rewards scale with your choices. Higher difficulty and longer sessions unlock more. Easy/Short keeps the story moving with no extras. Normal and above start unlocking achievements and bonus content. Push yourself on Hard/Long and you'll earn exclusive cards and extra bonus content on top.

Skip the mini-game entirely? No problem — the story continues as normal.

Gallery System

The gallery system we previously built for Lesson in Loyalty is now live in World of Secrets. All unlocked images and animations, organized by character.

Animation Control Panel

RWA Studios has developed a custom Animation Panel. You can now play/pause, speed up, slow down, and use auto mode with adjustable pacing. Full control is now yours.

Save System Overhaul

  • Custom save names

  • Save deletion

  • Unlimited saves and pages

Alma Route

For those on the Alma route — a new scene is waiting for you in 0.6.6. No spoilers, just enjoy.

Other Fixes and Notes

  • Language Bug: Some players were experiencing an issue where switching the language in settings didn't actually take effect. Fixed — no one should run into this anymore.

  • Sound & Music: We received feedback about audio issues in certain scenes. We've identified and resolved all reported problems. If anything slips through, let us know.

  • "Virus" Warning: Some users have seen a virus warning when launching the game. This is a false positive caused by a custom Windows icon and is completely harmless. Scan it with Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, or any reputable antivirus and you'll see it comes back clean.

Free Roam

As we mentioned before, Interactive Free Roam is in development. With every update we release, it gets closer to completion. As planned, it will launch with the 0.7.0 update along with its new map and new system.
