World of Secrets: Development Update #31
Greetings, Seekers of Secrets,
We’re deep into the development of v0.6.3, and while this won’t be a massive overhaul, it marks an important step toward stabilizing core systems and introducing exciting new features that set the stage for what’s ahead.
Here’s what you can expect:
🔄 Interactive Freeroam Returns – Refined and Reimagined
Freeroam mode is making a strong comeback in v0.6.3—now with reworked environments, improved flow, and better visual consistency.
Time-of-day lighting has been adjusted across the board—morning, noon, evening, and night cycles now feel more natural and immersive.
Key rooms like the Maids’ Room, Jenny’s Room, and Jack’s Room have been redesigned for better layout and lighting.
Nearly every freeroam location has received visual and structural touch-ups to enhance the sandbox experience.
For now, the map itself will remain unchanged to ensure stability and smooth performance.
You’ll still see the classic freeroam layout in v0.6.3, but if internal testing confirms everything is stable, we may roll out the new map during this update.
Otherwise, the full map overhaul will arrive with v0.6.4.
📍 Roadmap Access Expanded
The roadmap feature—previously only available through the new phone—can now be accessed via the old phone as well.
This means you can now track your path and upcoming content regardless of whether you're using the old or new phone inside the game.
❤️ SoulSwipe App Launches
SoulSwipe is now part of the game.
You’ll be able to flirt, match, and build relationships with a variety of characters—milfs, younger women, and optionally trans or gay characters based on your preferences.
(Note: These interactions are entirely optional. You’ll never be forced into a type of relationship—everything is shaped by your choices.)
✍️ NameIt! App Introduced
With the NameIt! app, you can now rename every character in the game.
Give them nicknames or whatever suits your story. This adds a layer of personalization that makes your journey truly yours.
📘 Visual Novel (VN) Mode & Update Philosophy
Visual Novel (VN) mode updates will be paused during this development cycle.
v0.6.3 and the following minor versions (like v0.6.4, v0.6.5, etc.) will focus exclusively on the interactive freeroam experience—which remains the core identity of World of Secrets.
Think of it this way:
Major versions such as v0.7.0, v0.8.0, and beyond will be treated as “full milestone updates”, which include VN content expansions and major narrative progress.
All other updates will continue to build and polish the freeroam mode—our primary vision for how the game evolves.
VN mode will still include all content from v0.6.0, and will remain fully playable. Once we’ve reached the desired performance and flexibility in freeroam systems, VN updates will resume in full force.
🧭 Main Menu Overhaul & Mode Selection
We're redesigning the main menu to provide a clearer and more flexible way to start your adventure.
In upcoming versions, players will be able to choose between VN Mode and Sandbox (Freeroam) Mode directly from the game’s title screen.
If you select VN Mode, clicking "New Game" will launch the story in classic visual novel format.
If you choose Sandbox Mode, the game will start in the interactive freeroam world.
Your saves will be stored separately for each mode—allowing you to enjoy both styles independently without interference.
This structure gives you full control over how you want to experience World of Secrets—whether through cinematic storytelling or open-ended exploration.
📊 Progress Bar-Backed Dev Updates Begin!
From now on, all development updates will include a progress bar—starting with this version.
This system will apply to World of Secrets, as well as our other games like Rock the Rim and Lesson in Loyalty.
We’ve already explained everything planned for this update, so weekly posts will focus on what's completed, what remains, and progress made—not repeating the same details.
A new dev update will be posted every week, and the progress bar will be updated accordingly.

Is there going to be gay content with Jack?
Will miner updates add new scenes
Gotta be honest: I guess most people care about new content with the girls instead of overhauling the map or different rooms. It has been quite a while since new content has been added. Don't jump on this train where a dev remakes a game a thousand times while no progress is happening in regards of the story and action with the girls.
Hey, appreciate the honesty—and you're absolutely right to want more story content and deeper scenes with the girls. That’s what makes this game fun, and we’re not ignoring that. But here’s the truth: World of Secrets is still a work in progress—a long-term project that we want to build into something stable, rich, and meaningful. We’re not remaking the game over and over for the sake of it—we’re laying the foundation to make sure future content doesn’t fall apart on a shaky base. Interactive freeroam, VN mode, the map system, and tools like Soulswipe or custom naming aren’t distractions—they're investments in giving you more control, more replayability, and ultimately, more meaningful choices. And yes—new content with the girls is coming. But we want to deliver that in a system that’s clean, stable, and expandable—not rushed and patched later. We’ll be sharing development updates every week, so you’ll always know what’s done and what’s next. Thanks for sticking with us—we’re building this together.
