World of Secrets: Development Update #21
Greetings, Seekers of Secrets,
We are thrilled to announce that our latest update, the final one before a major upcoming release, is now in its final testing phase and will soon be available to you. This update brings significant advancements and improvements that we are eager to share.
Comprehensive User Interface Overhaul
Our team has completely reimagined the User Interface (UI) of "World of Secrets." From characters to doors, all interactions have been updated and uniquely coded with animated objects, creating an unconventional and dynamic design. This modern, straightforward, and intuitive new interface will permanently enhance the "World of Secrets" environment from this update forward. We have dedicated considerable time to this redesign, updating over 500 interactions within the game to improve your experience significantly. Additionally, the main and quick access menus have been restructured to align seamlessly with this new interface.
Map Redesign Considerations
We are still contemplating a complete overhaul of our game map. Drawing inspiration from another project in development on Unreal Engine (here's a little spoiler for you, haha), we are attempting to adapt a new map design for "World of Secrets." However, we may choose to retain the existing map, updating its color scheme and design without altering the locations, to refresh the feel and usability. A decision is pending, but we acknowledge the need to move away from the current complex and overwhelming map design. Your feedback has been instrumental in guiding these considerations. Although these changes may not be ready for the upcoming 0.1.3 update, they could potentially be included in a minor update soon thereafter.
Exciting Content and Future Plans
This update is packed with scenes that not only satisfy in terms of gameplay progression but also set the stage for the monumental updates to follow. The feedback from our surveys indicated a preference for larger, more impactful updates, and we are preparing to deliver just that. Our next update will feature extensive scenes, increased render and animation counts, and will be rich in content that deeply engages and satisfies.
Despite the workload, our render and animation counts remain impressively high. The effort to overhaul all designs was almost as demanding as the rendering work itself, but the results have been well worth it. With the map redesign as the last hurdle, we are poised to implement much larger updates.
