0.7 Development Update 5
Hey, folks!
A whole second dev update of the month! Let's talk about stuff.
v0.7.2
v0.7.2 is in Early Access for a week now, and a few bugs were unearthed by you folks. The new Lyriel and especially Naomi/Cait quests were way more complex than usual, and there are issues with trigger priorities and overrides. I think I fixed most of it, but I'll do one more sweep and will do my best to release the r2 version tomorrow.
v0.7.3 and beyond
Coming later this week, v0.7.3 will welcome you with...
Yuppp. I think most of you are already hyped up.
In addition to this we're adding three new hangout options for Naomi, each one featuring three scenarios. Stash some whiskey in advance, and you'll get to hear tall tales and idle musings from her. And even learn a thing or two about her family and her childhood.
And there will be new Xmas content just in time for, er, Xmas. Blair will set off a colourful display for everyone to enjoy, and while the voting for the bonus scene is still ongoing, the winning option is pretty much decided by now.
But those of you folks who voted for the other options did a stellar job against all odds! Next year, perhaps...
We'll also include a fair bit of remastered scenes into 0.7.3, but those will come later.
For 0.7.4 we'll be preparing more story events for Blair and Naomi at the very least, and we'll be moving the main story forward very soon. With it will come new storylines for Rae, Cait and Yona.
Extra stuff
I have some preliminary news about Riften U. I'll do a proper write-up as soon as I have time, but the gist of it, we're remaking it again. Yeah. Sorry about that. We weren't 100% happy with the art and the story as it were, so we're binning most of it and having another go at it. Definitely coming out in 2024. Absolutely certain. Nothing can go wrong now.

I鈥檝e followed a couple devs on Patreon. One of them released their project on Steam. When I saw this, I bought it on Steam and immediately withdrew my Patreon support. Now I get regular updates with no issues or extra costs.
AHITR itself is not coming to Steam, the excised bit was about Riften U. There's a follow-up post from yesterday about that.
I will say this. I've been a patreon since feb 2021 and If you released it first on steam...It would feel like a kick in the balls. No lie.
That's what we'd like to avoid. Anyway, this bit wasn't supposed to be there, cause Riften U is now at least a few months away again. We'll get back to this discussion when it's closer to release. With polls and stuff.
I'm personally indifferent so whatever will help you guys more.

Honestly didn't even know rift was on steam. I found the game through itch.io. I support the game by being a beta tester and providing feedback. Does wishlisting help? I personally only play the android app version so that I can play anywhere at anytime. So I'm not sure I'd even buy it on steam.
Rift is not and won't be on Steam. The now-removed bit somehow popped up from an earlier draft of a post about Riften U. Now irrelevant for at least a few more months.
