Shogun's Castle Exterior [55x129]
Hey everyone!
This is our biggest map ever! I think this overtakes the Colossus Port which was the biggest until now (and mostly water). We've wanted to create a Japanese castle for quite some time but the scale of them always deterred us. But now was the time! We think we've done a great job with the scale of this one, hopefully it'll be fun to defend against oni or yokai or waves of samurai!
There'll be an interior coming next month so that it's more useable. Japanese keeps were rarely defended, most of the fighting happens at the outer walls, which is why we wanted to pay so much attention to the exterior design. :)

This and the interior floors need to be on moulinette. They are awesome!
Having the same problem as others, the jpg won't even load in Foundry

On foundry I just see a black screen what can I do ?

Do you guys plan on doing the internal maps for this, or a version with the roofs removed? It's beautiful, but it sort of lacks functionality without the ability to remove the roof, or have internal maps to transition to.
I'm still having the same issue as Lukaluke. I try to import it and it's just black.
Also having this same issue. I've tried converting the file to new types and everything. No matter what I do, foundry will not display it properly.
I'm not able to get this to load on Foundry VTT, just get a black screen. Any ideas?
Did you ever figure this out Lukaluke? Whenever i put the Japanese Castle Exterior map (Any version) into foundry its just a blank screen, other maps load fine.
This is amazing! By any chance, will there be a VTT-ready version of this in the future?

Love this! Was this based on Osaka Castle by any chance?? I was there this year and distinctly remember a similar layout?! Or am I going crazy?
Definitely similar colours to Osaka castle! We used a bunch of refs, Odawara, Himeji, Osaka, Matsumoto, etc. :)
Oh my, what if, when my party reaches the lich's stronghold next month they find not the decrepit castle I'd envisioned but this?

that wooden bridge would burn from the lava river, unless its magical :)
Maybe you can use that in your campaign, the bridge is sustained whilst the mage is alive. Defeat them to collapse the bridge and stop the invasion.
