Necropolis Dungeon [various sizes]
Hey everyone!
This is part two of our Necropolis map set. You can get part one here.
Our idea for this dungeon was an ancient people carving out the tombs for their lords and queens below the hot desert. But part way through excavating the third level of the necropolis though they stumbled upon the hive of some unknown desert monsters and quickly the tomb had to be sealed up from the second level onwards, before all the workers were snatched and overrun. Not wanting pesky adventures from unleashing the monsters in future, the entrance to the lower levels was hidden below the grand tomb.
We've included a few PNGs of traps and also of the tomb slid open in case you want to use them.
We imagine you'd be fighting skeletons, ghosts or mummies on the upper levels and insectiod monsters below.
Perhaps if there's interest we could dive further into the insect hive in a future third part and see how it connects up to the underdark and perhaps a malign Elder Brain controlling the insects and slaves. Who knows!
We decided to give all the floors to all tiers and have added some variations of the hive level for those who want to discover different monsters or scenarios down there in the deep.
Oh and the floor sizes are:
Antechamber: [26x40]
Grand Tomb: [26x30]
Abandoned Tomb: [32x56]
Hive: [32x56]

FYI guys, the link to this in the sheet is busted. Super glad i was able to find it searching I'm very excited to try this; it looks amazing.
I've fixed that now, thanks for pointing it out! We also have a website that makes finding maps easy: https://www.czepeku.com/
I'm currently preparing this for my group (loving it, btw!), but I have trouble with fitting in the two antechamber tokens (crushing walls and trap pit). Especially the crushing walls - it doesn't seem to match both in color and size. I'm obviously doing something wrong here. Can you post a screenshot of what it's supposed to look like? That would be awesome!
Well, my players just got around the traps, so it doesn't matter anymore ;-) Would still like to know, though. By the way, after last session (introducing a new player character into a group), my players specifically mentioned how beautiful and awesome the maps are, and how detailled everything is. And it's true, they're just beautiful. Thanks for providing us with such awesome maps!
I joined as a patron for this, and it does not disappoint. Layered maps that can be stacked on one screen make my online GM life so much easier. I look forward to more like this, or maybe even extensions to this, continuing down into the caverns below.
This is such an amazing pack of maps. Well done!
Is variant 4 and 5 the same thing? Which would be consistent with the actual file count in the ZIP, which is 19, not 20 as shown here.
I truely love your dungeons so much in fact im going to up my patreon level just to get the variations
I love this - so beautiful. Not just a map, it is ART
This is PERFECT for what's coming up in my campaign!
Thanks for providing the "Devourer" as a token! That really helps for vtt play.
This is exactly the type of thing needed! This is an entire arch in one full map set that I can use for a few weeks worth of sessions. Not only does this save me time in setting up multiple maps to build a story... but anytime I can link your maps into a multi teared setup the story pretty much writes itself. Thank you for helping us DMs!
Absolutly awesome maps. but the green slime variation was just what i needed! so extra gratefull for that!
Part three would be awesome! With breeding grounds, honeycombs and an entrance to the underdark, perhaps to some sort of Duergar Stronghold? <3
Maybe we could make this an ongoing series. Necropolis leads to Insect Hive to Mind Flayer Lair to Duergar Stronghold to Deep Gnomes to Drow to some Aboleth or great Eldritch monster in the darkest deep.
GORGEOUS
I am SOOOOOO into the insect hive idea! Please!
After viewing this, I decided to throw out my whole campaign and build a dungeon dive around this series. If you keep it going deeper that would be awesome to have a bunch of people share campaign notes / themes / rooms / traps / enemies around this very fresh theme.
